I knew from an early age in my life that I wanted to be wealthy.  I always wanted to own apartments or a hotel.  I think it was playing monopoly as much as I did that enticed me to want to be a successful real estate tycoon.  At the age of 20 years old I was offered a job at the family restaurant as a dishwasher.  I didn’t have too many other options at the moment, because I had recently dropped out of college.  I’m an intelligent person, but I was going through the early stages of freedom, and had a little trouble with it.

After only 4 months of working for my parents I had worked my way up to running their kitchen with the help of a great mentor.  Someone I’d become best friends with over the course of the next 4 years of my life.  I was running kitchens in different restaurants with the promise that 20 years from now these restaurants would be mine.  I thought this was a phenomenal deal for me.  Work hard for 20 years and you’ll be a restaurant owner of multi-million dollars worth of properties…  Sounded Great to me.

So, I worked and I worked some more.  I was putting in 80+ hours per week of working 2^nd shift and weekends.  In fact I was working 7 days a week for months on end at some points in that 6 year period.  I’d lost contact with most of my friends, and I never saw my family unless they came to the restaurant to visit.  This lifestyle seemed ok for awhile, but then in the end of 2008 something hit me.

I always had dreams of a wife and kids and being a great provider for my family.  Well, in the end of 2008 my first nephew was born, and it was then that I realized that the restaurant business was not going to be my vehicle for that dream.  It was never the money, because I was making good money, and I would have been rich if I would have stuck it out, BUT I would have given up my entire life for the next 20-30 years to achieve that success. To me that was not worth it.

So I began to look for ways to make money online.  I was not new to the idea of network marketing, so when I found my network marketing opportunity online, I was excited to get started.  I began marketing my business in January of 2009, and I thought that I’d be retired in 6 months like so many others. The reality set in when I figured out I had no clue how to market online effectively, and I had no clue how to get people to join my business.  For 5 months I struggled with my business.  I had generated over 200 leads thanks to pay-per-click marketing, but not a single one of them would join me.

My biggest problem was that my sponsor in my primary company was such a busy man, that he didn’t have the time to hold my hand.  I needed some serious guidance and help with marketing my business.  After searching the internet for a mentor that could actually guide me to success I found exactly what I was looking for.  I had done some research and read some books prior to this time period, and I had always thought that attraction marketing was the way to go, but I never could figure out how to set up my own attraction marketing system.  I had read various books on the concepts of attraction marketing, I had even bought a website package through site-build-it where I was going to set up my own website with affiliate products and marketing training, but I never really figured out how to do that in the 5 month period.

When I found out that I could duplicate someone else’s system and brand it as my own, I was so excited I jumped on the opportunity.  I knew that even if I would have figured out how to build my own websites with training and support for my personal team, that not everyone on my personal team would be able to replicate their own websites very easily.  This was the biggest thing that I liked about this new system that I found.  I knew that my team could duplicate everything I had set up in a matter of days or even hours.

So, where did this system lead me?  Well, I knew that it was simply a tool to help me build my business.  Realizing that, I knew that I would have to work hard to achieve results with this new tool of mine.  So I studied the training, read books, and got on every live training that I could get on.  I started utilizing these proven principles, and my very first sale was 3 days later. I MADE 3 MORE SALES THAT VERY WEEK, and had my first $400 day a few weeks later! Shortly after that I had a $1300 week.
