Just been a little busy lately working on a MAJOR Project that is going to help you dominate social media for FREE!!!

I was reading an article last week about how to raise your Alexa ranking for your website or blog, and I decided to try it out.   I want to inform you that when I first started this experiment my Alexa ranking was around the 3.5 million ranking.  Before I tell you what my current Alexa ranking is, I would like to cover what an Alexa ranking is, and how it can benefit your website.

A website’s Alexa rank is decided by the browsing data received from millions of internet users who are all using the Alexa Toolbar.  Using the Alexa toolbar will not only report your internet browsing information to Alexa.com, it will also tell you some information about the websites that you visit.  This will be important in telling you things such as how many people visit this site on a daily basis, how much time is spent on average, how many incoming links a site has and much more.

A website with a higher Alexa rank, somewhere above 50,000 would be a good site for you to possibly advertise your own business or website on.  Likewise, if you have a website or blog with a very high Alexa ranking, an advertiser will be more likely to pay higher monthly fees for their advertising slots.  Being able to generate a few thousand dollars a month just off of advertisements on your blog should be able to carry your primary business to whatever level of success you desire.

The Big Secret…

Now that we’ve covered the Alexa toolbar, what it reports to Alexa.com and how that can benefit you, I’d like to share with you this little trick that I recently learned that took my Alexa ranking up dramatically in 1 week.  Alexa has a site widget available for you to put in the sidebar of your blog that will show up-to-date Alexa data and rankings right on your website.  To be completely honest I don’t understand why it works, and neither did the person who shared this information with me, but my Alexa ranking is proof that it does work.

Try it yourself…

If you don’t believe me, then I encourage you to conduct a simple little experiment.  Download the Alexa toolbar or a firefox add-on called Search Status, and keep track of your Alexa ranking over a 1-2 week time period.  After that time period is up, place the Alexa widget on your blog and take note of the dramatic difference in your Alexa ranking over the next week.  I was amazed when in 1 week my ranking is now at 1.5 million which is over a 50% increase from where it began.  I don’t think the 1.5 million mark is anything to be proud of yet, but I do think that the dramatic increase speaks for itself.

Combine this with some SEO methods, and watch your website start generating some serious traffic.  When you decide to write a specific blog post do a little keyword research using the google keyword tool or something like it, and write your blog posts using those specific keywords.  After you make your blog posts, you should be using a tool called Onlywire to simultaneously release your blog post to multiple social bookmarking and networking sites around the web.  All of these things combined should increase your Alexa ranking by atleast 25% in a week or so.

The key to your internet marketing success really is in the relationship you have with those on your list. These lists are generated through various means like Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, and other social networking sites, and they can be generated with programs like auto responders and the like.

Have an unresponsive list?

But what happens if you have a large mailing list that simply sits there and does nothing for you or your internet marketing business in the way of generating an income?  When I first started using twitter, I had a following of 3500 people, but truth is I had no relationship with any of my followers. On the other hand my Facebook group only had a paltry 65 people in it and I was already making money off of them. The difference?

An unresponsive list will do nothing but sit idly by unless you have a strong relationship with the people on it.  However, keeping the people on those lists happy and building a relationship takes a lot more than simply sending out periodic internet marketing advertisements.

Quite simply put, a person will not generally buy from you if they do not know or trust you. But in order for your customer to get to know you they need to hear from you…more often. This can be done in many ways, and each way has its own purpose in this relationship building process. And once you have that relationship you will then enjoy internet marketing success worth talking about. Below is a list of ways that you can build your relationship with your list that will ensure you end up with much better results in converting them from simple subscribers to actual customers.

Get to know your Customers

As mentioned above keeping in contact with your list means more than just sending out advertisements.  And although advertisements are an important aspect of a business you need to do more than that to build a relationship. Think about it, would you buy from someone that you didn’t know or truly believe could actually help you achieve success? Well I certainly wouldn’t.  To build a relationship you have to want to go beyond the internet marketing and get to know your list.   A great way to build relationships is by getting to know your prospects.  Try conducting online surveys to find out what these people need and what they like. Once you know what they need, want, and why they want it you then have to give them all of that!  And once the relationship is built, you can start recommending products or services through your internet marketing campaign that would make you some affiliate commissions.

Keep your Promises and Deliver

First and foremost, when working towards internet marketing success it is important to always do what you say you will.  No matter what you promise your customers you must deliver. Whether that is a free tutorial on your product or anything else; what this does is to develop trust with the people on your list.  Also, from the internet marketing knowledge you have gathered about what your customers want, make sure that you deliver what they ask for.  If you have given your list the very things they need then they will truly believe that they can trust you and that you can help them achieve their success.

Fill a Need

When you fill the needs of your list you will be building a rapport as well as building up the credentials of your business.  Send those on your list useful tips, articles, and hints on your industry or products. You can also recommend other products or services from affiliates.  This is another way to help generate money through commissions.  What this does to those on your list is it shows them that you are interested in more than just what you can give them from your own company.

So is the key to your internet marketing success really through the relationship you have with your list?  As you can see above the relationship with your list is everything.  If you have thousands of people on your list but only a fraction responding to your emails then your list will do you no good at all. Just remember these simple relationship building tips and you will see your unresponsive list come to life.

I watched this amazing video today, and I decided it is necessary for me to share it with everyone that comes into contact with me.  It’s that powerful and moving, and if I didn’t share it with you, I’d be letting you down.  I know we’ve all heard before that we have to change our mindset to achieve what we want, because it is true whatever your mind feeds upon, your mind attracts to you!  Therefore if you are surrounded by people who feel it necessary to work 40+ hours per week to get by making $15/hour or less, then you will stay in that J.O.B. that you hate so much for a long time.  However, if you start surrounding yourself with people that think and know there is more to life than a job, and that they can achieve much greater success by working for themselves, then you will start to see your path to success forming.

I want you to watch this video, and pay close attention to when Napolean Hill starts talking about the 2 envelopes…

In network marketing, there are only two actions that actually generate cash flow for your business.  One of which is marketing, and the other is connecting with your leads!  If you have your marketing skills down right, you’ll be spending more time building those great relationships that are required for you to build your business!  The problem with most people is that they spend too much time on tasks that don’t generate money!  So you must ask yourself, where am I spending a majority of my time?

I personally know that I have wasted a ton of time getting nothing done, because it’s very easy to get lost in the internet.  I’ll begin a project, and before I’m 5 minutes into it I’ll already be wasting time surfing the net.  When I first started out the majority of my marketing was done on Facebook, so you can only imagine how easy it is to get lost on that site.  If we don’t keep ourselves on task with a schedule we will always be able to find somewhere to waste our time on the internet!

Now I know it’s exciting when we are starting to generate leads, so we enjoy looking at those leads multiple times, maybe even checking for new leads every 5-10 minutes.  Right when we get a piece of advertising posted we want to see if it’s generating any traffic to our websites.  You should really try to get down to checking for leads 2-4 times per day.  You’ll also want to schedule a specific period of time just for calling those leads, so that you don’t keep interrupting your marketing time!  The same should go for checking your e-mails.  A few times a day is ok, unless you’re expecting something, but the fact is that checking your e-mail to see if you got a new lead or a commission is wasting valuable marketing time!

The bottom line is that if you want to see the success in your business, stop waiting for it to happen!  You should be spending 2-3 hours per day accomplishing what takes most people 2-3 days to get done, and the reason is procrastination.  If you’re stuck in a procrastination rut, GET OUT OF IT NOW!  As soon as you decide to make it happen, it’s D.O.N.E.  If you’re unsure of where to start, then maybe you should set up a marketing plan with your mentor.   One last point I want to stress to all of you newbies out there, is that you should only be trying to master 1 or 2 different marketing techniques right now.  If you’re trying to get 10+ done in the beginning, chances are you’re getting very little done on a whole lot of things, which means you’re getting a whole lot of nothing done!

I am getting really sick of hearing all of this stuff about prelaunch.  Bottom line is if your company is currently accepting marketers, and is making sales, do you think that prelaunch is the proper term to use?  The other thing about prelaunch is that you do not know anything about this company’s track record or stability, and yet they’re claiming to be the greatest company in history.  There’s absolutely no proof that this company is really going to be successful over the long haul, and people are getting sucked up into the prelaunch hype.

One of the biggest reasons people think they should get in early, is because they’re told they will be at the top of the pyramid, and the business will build itself below them.  The cold hard truth about that is that a business will not really build itself below you without you having to do some initial work.  You could be the very first person in the business, and unless you get people to join your downline, you will not have an organization below you!

That leads me to my next point about the promise of spillover from other organizations filling in your downline for you, and you making lots of money off of that spillover.  What would happen to you and your organization if the person who you joined under doesn’t know how to build an organization of their own?  If there isn’t a team being built beside you from your sponsor, then you would have no spillover.  If there is no spillover, you wouldn’t have a team being built for you automatically as promised.  Think about that!

This whole concept of spillover and prelaunch really just goes after the inexperienced network marketer, because they believe that a business will automatically build itself for them.  Rome wasn’t built in a day, and for someone to believe that they can pay a little bit of money and basically sit back in a lawn chair on the beach and collect their Millions, is absurd to me!  I will say that I too used to get a little excited when promises like this were made to me, but then I started researching and learning, and the only way I’ve found success is through a lot of hard work.

Truthfully, if you want to build any business online or offline, you’re going to have to go through some serious schooling!  It is absolutely necessary to study and learn as much as you can about what you’re trying to do, so that you can become the leader!  Placing the success of your business in the fate of other people’s hands and hoping that they will build a large business for you is not the way to financial freedom.  I’m not saying that it doesn’t happen that way sometimes, but for the large majority of success stories in this industry, most of them worked hard and made it happen themselves.  If you want the massive success that you’re probably seeking, then you must go out and achieve it on your own!
