You see, Happiness is simply a decision… and I know that if you truly take that to heart, you will no longer get upset when you’re waiting in line at an airport… or when your flight gets delayed for 30 minutes… or when very minuscule things happen that seem so dramatic but in reality things could be worse off.

I’m writing this, because this past week I truly found out what W.I.T. means.  The thing is we as people believe that we are ready for W.I.T., but when push comes to shove we’d rather be comfortable.  We’d rather take what we believe to be the easy way than really doing W.I.T.

So I’m sure you’ve guessed it by now, but W.I.T. means WHATEVER IT TAKES.  Again, although most of us say we’re willing to give it our all, we let certain mental obstacles stop us from achieving success.  I speak with people all the time, and I could certainly tell you about the mind blocks I see in others, but I’m writing this more to think about my own mental blocks and to consciously overcome them myself.  So as you’re reading this, think about some of the things that are stopping you from doing W.I.T. to achieve your goals and your freedom.

Here is a list of mental blocks I have had or still have:

-          I’m too tired when I get home from working 8 hours to get on the phone with my leads, I’ll call them when I’m more awake

-          I’m too tired from working all day to stay up late tonight to get my project done

-          I deserve 8 hours of sleep a night, which doesn’t leave much time for my business

-          I’m not successful enough to teach people internet marketing yet

-          My knowledge isn’t worth any money cause I haven’t made millions yet

-          I’ll attend a live event after I make enough money in my business

-          I’ll buy educational courses after I make some more money

-          Why would people want to join me in my network marketing business, I’ve barely made any money yet

-          I’d love to get some work done, but it’s Sunday night, and my favorite tv show is on

-          I want to call my leads, but I don’t know what to say to them

-          I want to host a webinar, but what if I mess up

The list could go on and on… you see we as people allow our mind to control us rather than us being in control of ourselves.  It’s amazing how little sleep we can get by on when we have a driving force behind us keeping us awake to get something done.  It’s amazing how people will want to follow you even if you haven’t made that much money or any money if you are confident in the fact that you’re going to achieve success.  People can sense a leader when you simply are willing to do things without knowing the outcome. 

Start to consciously recognize when you have these mental objections, obstacles, fears, etc… and consciously and out-loud say to yourself “Thank you for sharing, cancel or pass” and let it go, then get on with your work towards achieving your goals. 

If this seems difficult for you, then you should go back a few steps and seriously meditate on what your “WHY” is. 

I’ve often heard that you have to have a WHY that makes you CRY… and that’s absolutely true.  You should get slightly teary eyed when you think about what your success will mean in your life, and why you’re doing W.I.T.

The uncertainty of it all is really the most beautiful part of being an entrepreneur.  Knowing that at any moment things can take a dramatic turn for better or worse.

It’s this knowledge that truly makes it exciting when we do have our huge successes, because let’s face it… if it were easy we would never become better as people.

Jim Rohn’s mentor, Mr. Shoaff, always told him “Make a million dollars not for the money, but because of who you will become along the way.”

Pretty backwards thinking for the average person, and that’s ok, I required someone to open my mind to the thought of changing myself before the money ever came.

The bottom line is you don’t become a millionaire and then change who you are as a person.  You change who you are, and then you become a millionaire.

So I encourage you to take all your fears and face them 1 at a time… crush your fears with a mighty fist, and triumph as a new person with every step you take.  It’s a glorious journey if you simply open your mind to the possibilities of becoming a different person.

I’ve been doing my P90X workouts about 2 times per week.  The fact is I’ve been really out of shape for around 8 months due to my computer, and it’s been hard for me to mentally commit to doing these intense workouts 6 days per week.

Now that I’m going out to Las Vegas for the Live the Dream Event, I want to be in good shape so I can enjoy the pool this time.  I also just plain and simple want to be in better health for sake of being in better health.

I Digress… My point is that I was doing the Plyometrics workout today, which is Jump-Training.  It’s an Intense Cardio workout that is even more intense on the legs.  Anyways, I was feeling all tuckered out, and only doing the exercise really half-hearted, when I realized one of the guys on the video only had 1 leg.

HE HAD A FAKE LEG.

He was still doing an intense leg workout and jumping around like a mad-man.

That is when I said to myself, “I’m making it through this entire workout with a smile on.” I Literally said it Out Loud to myself.

I made it through that workout plus the bonus Ab Ripper workout, all thanks to the motivation I received from a guy who was doing an intense jumping workout with only 1 leg.

So, you’re probably asking how this ties into you making money at home.

You might feel that you just can’t do what it takes to make your business successful… You might feel you don’t have the time, the money, the know-how, be tech-savvy enough, and a whole lot of other EXCUSES.  And I want to let you know that I personally know some people who had no money and became successful… I know people who aren’t tech savvy and they’ve become very successful.

My point is if a guy with only 1 leg can do an intense jump-training workout for 60 minutes and do it Hard-Core like a mad-man… you should really have no excuses for why you can’t make your business successful.

There are very inexpensive ways to build your business.  There are easy ways to get around the technical aspect.  There are ways to get around the time.  In Fact if money or time is your reason, that should be all the more reason to make this happen so you can have both.

Right NOW… Get rid of Your EXCUSES, and Don’t Stop until You Achieve whatever goals you have set out to Achieve.  PERIOD, Space, Space.

Are you Ready to Let go of Excuses Like you’re not Tech Savvy, You don’t have Money, You don’t have the Time???

I’m writing this post because I’ve been doing private coaching sessions with a lot of different people over the past few months, and I’ve realized that the people who’ve been in or around this industry for more than a few months have the same block.  They’re putting in long hours every day, and connecting with a lot of people, but they’re blocking themselves from achieving success.  They get inside of their head too much.  I’m going to tell you exactly what the block is, and how to get over it NOW!

First off, I want to preface that starting your own business is entirely different from a J.O.B. in every aspect.  No one is going to be there to make sure you’re getting done what you need to get done on a daily basis.  That’s not to say that the help and guidance isn’t there for you, but you have to seek it out.  Your upline truly wants you to succeed, but they more than likely have a ton of other people under them and don’t have the time to check in on you and make sure you’re doing what you need to.

What I like to do with my sponsor is contact him and tell him whenever something really big happens in my business. (if you don’t believe me, scroll down and watch the first testimonial in the right side-bar with Brian Fanale) Now this entirely depends on where you’re at, but e-mail them when you get your first lead… your first 10 leads… your first affiliate commission… your first member signup and so on.  Let them know that you’re achieving results, and they’ll give you the support you need.   They’ll also motivate you even further when this happens, which is one of the biggest reasons a lot of people have a mental block.

I’ve come to realize that although some of the people I’ve been coaching have achieved success,, they don’t see it that way because no one has actually told them they’re on the right track.  They still have the J.O.B. mentality, and that’s ok.  It takes a minute to get over.  The way I judge my success is if I’m consistently growing and moving forward by any measurement. (leads, traffic, conversions, member signups, affiliate sales, etc…)

Now I’m going to move on to the point that I really wanted to make with this post here… I had someone tell me that they felt they had  a ton of great information to share with people, in fact they had it all put together… the only thing they didn’t do was publish it and let people know about it, because they weren’t sure if it was good enough.

They were concerned specifically because they said to me, “you look and sound so confident in your videos and your blog posts”… I replied, “Some of those 5 minute videos took me an hour of research and multiple recordings before I got the steps right in my how-to videos… It was simply a matter of I knew it was good information to share, and I did my due diligence to portray like I was an expert to my viewers”.

You’re a Leader the second you decide to be a leader…

Being a leader isn’t easy, but it’s certainly rewarding and fun once other people realize you are a leader.  You don’t have to say you’re a leader; you simply have to prove it.

So Here’s my real point of all of this… Don’t wait for someone else to tell you you’re on the right track.  Don’t wait to decide to become a leader and share all of that valuable information you have inside of you.  Be a leader, and do whatever you feel it is you’re supposed to do… Mess up a bunch of times, and move forward.  Get out of that J.O.B. mentality, and step into being an entrepreneur.  You know you want it, and more importantly YOU DESERVE IT.

This past week I decided to take a look through the leader boards of my lead system pro to see if my name was there.  I was not surprised to see my name in a few areas, but I was surprised to see that I had the #9 spot for most sign-ups this week.  The only reason I’ve been able to achieve this positioning is because I have developed such a strong success mindset in the past 5 months.  In this post I want to share with you what is required for you to develop these types of beliefs so that you too can reach the top 1% of your system.  (this is the first part of development… Tomorrow I’ll be covering another important factor for my success with this business)

For those of you that don’t know what My Lead System Pro is, it’s an attraction marketing system with somewhere between 12,000 to 15,000 members all promoting the system.  The caliber of marketers inside this community of entrepreneurs is absolutely top notch.  Some of these leaders have enrolled up to 50-100 new team members in their primary MLM business in less than 2 days.  I’m telling you all of this simply to let you know what was really achieved by reaching the top 9 leader boards this past week.  This achievement had nothing to do with my company or my marketing strategies, but had everything to do with the success mindset that I’ve developed over the past 6 months of my life.

My mindset began with the book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. (if you’ve not yet read this book, go get a free copy)  After learning from and talking with all of the people who I’ve been mentored by and all of those people I met in life that were successful in whatever they did, I concluded that it had more to do with their mindset than their skills and abilities.  Almost any skill can be developed or honed if you have the right mindset to put forth the effort until you develop that skill.

I’ve often been told that I’m blessed to know everything I know about internet marketing, and I’ve had people tell me they wish they knew what I knew.  That right there is the wrong mindset.  Don’t ever wish for something, decide to achieve something. Wishing is very much like hoping; no action is really taken to achieve the results desired.    Also, you never want to tell yourself you’re going to “try” something either.  The “will try” attitude is the worst attitude you can have if you truly want to achieve your results.  The reason I appear to be blessed is through sheer dedication and hard work day after day for the past 8 months of my life.  As soon as I decided that I was going to make enough money to quit my job and live my own life, I knew I would do whatever it took to make that happen.

You might think that in order to achieve success in internet marketing or network marketing is to know the marketing strategies, but to be completely honest that’s only 1 part.  You really only have to know 1 marketing strategy that fits you, and then you have to implement that strategy until you achieve the results.  This is where the success mindset will come into play.  Decide that you’re willing to stick with your strategy until you’ve mastered it, and can generate over 20 leads in a single day.  I promise you it won’t happen in your first day, week, or maybe even month unless you’re doing paid strategies.  I can however promise you that it will happen as long as you decide to make it happen.

How do you develop that Millionaire Mindset?

You can start developing the millionaire mindset by reading the 4 books that I offered earlier in this post.  Set aside 15-30 minutes a day to read personal development, listen to personal development audio, or watch personal development videos of some sort.  The bottom line is that you’re going to have to commit to developing yourself before you can ever achieve results with your business.  Jim Rohn said “spend more time on yourself than your business” and you’ll achieve the results you want.  Start developing your success mindset today and you too can reach the top 10 leader boards in whatever system or company you’re in.

The Success Mindset is absolutely the most imperative part to achieving success in your business.  You’ll also need to have the right tools and training so that you can put your mindset to task on the right things that will truly bring you success.  If you’d like to learn exactly what I’m doing to generate traffic, leads, and how I’m converting those leads into team members, I’ll show you.

Let Me Show You How To Reach the Top 10 Marketers In Your System

Jeffery Combs is my mentor and success coach for life.  I had the pleasure of meeting with him this past weekend at a workshop he hosted here in Milwaukee.  It’s such an amazing thing to not only listen and learn from a millionaire mentor like Jeffery, but to be able to watch him and feel his presence in the same room is awe inspiring.  To see the way he moves, to watch his energy flow through the room, and to see the way he interacts with people was more powerful than anything else.

I learned quite a lot of things about developing the Millionaire Mindset from Jeff that day, however, there are 2 specific tips that I want to point out to you.  The first tip as quoted from Jeffery Combs himself, “Always follow people of influence”.  The second tip is to relax into your energy.  The last tip was more specifically directed towards me, because I’m a very high energy person and Jeffery noticed that I might scare people away with my energy.  So let’s go over these tips and discuss what they mean to me.

Follow people of Influence

You should always follow people of influence for quite a few reasons.  I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “surround yourself with the people you want to be like”.  This is really no different in any aspect of life than it would be in schooling for example.  If you decided you wanted to be a chef, who would you want to learn from?  A chef is the right answer.  You wouldn’t learn how to be a chef from a banker.  This same principle will apply to your business.

If you want to become a successful internet marketer or network marketer, then it would only make sense to surround yourself with other successful internet and network marketers.  It is not enough just to surround yourself with them, but to actually learn from them and implement their habits into your life.  If a millionaire like Jeffery Combs told you that he spent 2 hours on the phone every day talking with hot prospects, then wouldn’t it make sense that you too should be spending 2 hours every day talking on the phone with your hot prospects?  Follow the leader, learn from the leader, and become the leader yourself.

Relax into Your Energy

Tip number two is to relax into your energy.  It’s great to have positive energy for what you’re doing.  It’s also great to share that energy with other people.  The problem would be when your energy over-powers the people you are around that they can’t get a word in with you.  Being a leader means that you listen to what people need so that you can best help them get it.  After learning from Jeffery for 6 months or so, I’ve come to realize that a good deep breath will relax me in any situation.  Try this sometime.  When you feel yourself getting anxious or too intense take a deep breath and release all of your anxiety.

It is good to exert positive energy to the people you are coming into contact with, but you have to remember that this is a relationship business and you want people to be able to relate to you.  This is where the term relaxed relate-ability comes from.  To have a relaxed energy when you’re dealing with people so they can actually relate to you and want to work with you.  If people can’t relate to you, then they are going to find someone else to lead them to success.

Before we get into the step-by-step process, you should probably understand why it’s so important to actually achieving success with your Network Marketing Business.

The whole process of developing the millionaire mindset before you’re actually a millionaire is so that your subconscious mind begins to believe that you’re successful.  Your subconscious mind has no way of telling what’s real and what’s fake, it simply gathers the information that you see, feel, hear, and think about and stores it away.  The more often something is gathered, the more your subconscious mind will believe it is real and it will be easier for you to remember.

When you constantly are reminded that your bank account is almost empty, you have a job that you hate, your car is old and crappy, and a whole bunch of other things that remind you of your position in life… Your subconscious mind reminds your mind all the time of the life you live, and you subconsciously keep doing things to keep you in that same reality.  Likewise, when you constantly feed your subconscious with what you desire your life to be like, all of the good things like Money, freedom not to have a job, a nice car, a nice house, etc… you will subconsciously believe this is our reality, and you will do what is necessary to make that a reality.

When feeding your subconscious mind these positive things that don’t yet exist, it is CRUCIAL that you say it as though you already live in that life.  You must Be Convincing when declaring your vision statement in order to achieve the millionaire mindset.  A Great way to be convincing is to remember a time when you achieved a great success in life like the first time you were able to ride your bike without training wheels or anything where you felt accomplished and excited.  When you’re able to bring that excited feeling back to reality, this is the best time to declare your vision statement to yourself.  Your subconscious won’t recognize where that excitement is coming from, it will only feel convinced that your statement is declared from an accomplished millionaire mindset.

The 4-step process

1- List 2 of your unique personal qualities such as enthusiasm, your smile, your passion for something, your dedication to something…anything along these lines.

2- List some ways that you enjoy implementing those qualities when you’re out and about in your life.

3- Make a list of how those good qualities and those activities would come together if you were already in a perfect world having achieved your success.

4- Now that you have these lists put together, you want to combine them to write out a vision statement of what your life of success and achievement actually look like.  The activities you do on a daily basis, the lifestyle you live, the possessions you have.  You want to be as specific as possible so that it’s easier to envision your life, and your subconscious gets more information sent to it.

Now that you have your vision statement written out, you want to begin declaring it 2 times per day.  Right before bed, and right when you wake up.  It is best to do this when you’re not fully conscious as your subconscious will gather the information easier.  Remember to recall the feelings of accomplishment from your memory before declaring your vision statement.  The millionaire mindset will develop over time, and before you know it you’ll be getting things done to achieve that lifestyle.  You’ll be acting as if you were already a millionaire all because of this simple MLM Success Training.  Another great way to develop the Millionaire Mindset is to create your Definiteness of Purpose.
