Today I’m going to share with you a few reasons why you should absolutely approach your warm market even if you feel they’re burnt out!

You see I got involved in Numis just over a year ago, and I had hounded my warm market about a previous opportunity I was in for the previous 2 years.  So much so that they were actually swearing at me when I would mention what I was doing.  I had already decided that I would not approach my warm market ever again and solely build my business online.

Then I got a message from Ray Higdon, the #1 earner in Numis.  He said that he had approached his warm market about 12 previous companies he was in.  Then when he joined Numis he made his warm market list and contacted everyone again for the 13^th opportunity. 

He then proceeded to tell me that 2 of his warm market contacts are now making over $10,000 per month in his team and asked me if I was going to be selfish or share this amazing opportunity with my warm market?

I got the picture, so I decided to start contacting my warm market using the warm market approach I share below.

I also remembered hearing Mark Hoverson talk about having the integrity to do things not just for ourselves, but for our future team members.  What that means is that we can’t expect something of our team that we ourselves are not willing to do. 

We must make a list of our warm market and approach our warm market about this awesome opportunity so that when we bring a new team member in we can tell them to face their fears and do the same thing.  You don’t have to hound your warm market, a simple question is all you have to ask, and if they say yes or no it’s cool either way.

Now I remember hosting my first live presentation a few weeks into being in Numis and my sponsor Adam Chandler told me he was absolutely amazed how awesome I did for my first ever live presentation.

How did I do so well on my first ever live online presentation?

I approached my warm market using the “How to effectively prospect your warm market… the EASY way” approach, and what happened was…

…I broke through my fears of presenting and speaking in front of people…

…I learned all the objections and questions that my prospects would have about the business opportunity and products, as well as did the research on how to answer these questions, and…

…I signed my dad and step-mom into my team in my first week in the business because they flat out saw the opportunity with an open mind.

So even if you feel you’ve burnt out your warm market with other opportunities or you believe they just plain may not be interested, you should absolutely approach your warm market because they too deserve to change their lives with your powerful opportunity. 

Your future team members deserve you to be a leader who’s willing to face your fears so you can truly lead them, and… 

…you absolutely require the training that you will get from the first-hand experience of presenting your opportunity and going through the motions of building your business even if everyone in your entire warm market doesn’t join your team.

Once you finish contacting your entire warm market, you’re going to need some more people to talk to…

99% or more of the people who get exposed to your network marketing business opportunity won’t join you, which is why you want to know how to get more people to join your network marketing business…

… of the 1% or less that do get exposed to your opportunity, they will not join you right away.  In fact they will most likely tell you “no” in some form. 

1. They’re not ready to join now…
2. They don’t have the money…
3. They have to think about it…
4. They need to understand everything about it before they take action…
5. They have to check with their wife, their neighbor, the mailman, their boss to see what they think about the opportunity…
6. Or any other reasons they can think of to not join right away…

You see most people take a long time to make a $200-$500 simple business decision when they will spend that much money on a night on the town without even thinking twice, and what they don’t realize is that by taking forever to make a simple decision like this, they will also attract other people who take a long time to act as well…

…so the solution is to start being more decisive right now!  If something feels right, act on it immediately and figure out how to make it work for you along the way. 

Anyways, I used to struggle to get more people to join my network marketing business, and then I learned the real secret to getting more people to SAY YES and JOIN NOW!

Before I tell you what the secret is, I want to explain how I used to react when people didn’t join me and what I believed was the right way to go.

I believe it was mostly out of arrogance that I acted and thought this way, although now I realize that it was just plain ignorance… I would get someone onto a presentation, whether we had connected online through my attraction marketing funnel, or just somehow connected… then when I followed up, if they did not join me right away that’s where I stopped, because…

…I believed people should just join right away or they weren’t worth the time to talk to again.  Funny I believed that because I didn’t join right away.  It took me 6 months before I jumped all the way in.  So then one day I watched a video by Darren Little about multiple exposures, and that’s when he revealed the secret to me. 

The secret is that most people will not join any opportunity until after 5-7 exposures. 

What is considered an exposure??

-          Reading a pamphlet or brochure

-          listening to an audio cd

-          reviewing a video about the company

-          attending a live event

-          a 3-way call with your upline

-          a live webinar presentation of your company

An exposure is basically anything that gives them a little bit more exposure to your company, the products, the team, etc…

So now that you know “the secret” you don’t have to feel like a loser when people don’t join your opportunity on the first exposure, and when you’re ready to learn the secret of getting multiple exposures the automated way…

Have you ever felt stuck in your business… Overwhelmed??

I know I certainly have, and I know I personally helped 4 people get unstuck this week. 

***If you’re stuck right now it’s not your fault!

In this post I’m going to share some of the reasons you might be stuck, and some action steps you can take immediately to get yourself unstuck.  First I want to share a quick story with you. 

I used to manage my parents restaurant, and I was the head-chef in their kitchens.  When I started out, I was far from the expert.  In fact I knew almost nothing.  Within a few months I was running the kitchen as the head-chef. 

I honestly believed that the crew in the kitchen would only work with me when I knew everything.  I thought I had to be right all the time, and could never let on that I didn’t know what I was doing. 

I thought that in order to be the “boss” I had to know everything, and that people would only want to follow me when I could basically show them perfection. 

I also believed that I had to be perfect because I was my parent’s son, and basically I didn’t want to make a bad impression with the staff.

What happened was my staff didn’t want to listen to me, and they thought I was an arrogant young boss, which I certainly was.  Then my good friend Jason told me it’s ok to ask for help, and to not know what I was doing, since I really didn’t know what I was doing.  So I stopped acting perfect and let people know that I was aware I didn’t know what I was doing, but with their help we could make it work together. 

Immediately my kitchen staff was more involved and actually enjoyed working with me more.  They let me be the leader with their help.

This same thing will apply to your business.  First I’m going to share some of the reasons you might be stuck in non-action mode right now, then I’m going to share some insights and a solution for each.

1. You’re in learning mode and you feel like you have to know everything so that when you do take action it will work out right. 

Understand that 80-90% of the marketing you attempt isn’t going to get your desired result, in fact it may not get any result.  Also, the internet changes so quickly that you want to implement what you learn right away to stay ahead of the curve, and the best way to learn anything is to make your own mistakes.

Did you also know that when you implement something, get a result, then start teaching other people what you’re doing you actually retain and understand the information better.  So the solution is to simply start taking immediate action after learning something!

 2. You feel people are only going to follow you if you’re an “ALL-KNOWING, EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL MARKETER”. 

You might have heard the term “Fake it til you make it” at some time in your network marketing career.  I know I have.  The truth of the matter is that people aren’t easily duped anymore by the fake, hypey BS anymore like they used to be, and honestly it was never a good model to follow. 

People want to know that they too don’t have to be perfect, and when you let them know that you’re imperfect and that it’s ok for them to make mistakes just like you, then they’ll take more action and feel good about moving their business forward with a good amount of uncertainty.  To lead people you simply have to be willing to take the action steps that they’re afraid to take, and then have them follow in your path. 

So do you want to know the solid action plan I recommended to all 4 of the people I helped this week??  Of course you do!

Step 1- Spend 3-7 days studying the different marketing strategies that are taught in the back-office of MLSP to decide which strategy you feel most comfortable implementing.  Remember, it doesn’t have to be the strategy you think you know the most about, it simply has to be…

…the strategy you feel you’ll have the most fun with and will be intrigued to learn more about along the way.  (When you have fun with what you do, you’ll become great at it)  If you’re not already a member of MLSP you can watch this video right here to get a “behind the scenes” look at what it’s all about and how it will absolutely help you to become a more effective marketer, and then you can join here!

Step 2- Make it be known to the world (I recommend blogging about it, which you can learn how to do right here) Write a blog post or put a video together about the fact that you’re just starting out, you’re not an expert yet, and that you’re going to be implementing, learning, and teaching them “XYZ” marketing strategy which you can learn more about as soon as you decide to join MLSP right here.  When you let everyone know you’re not perfect you will instantly feel the stress release from yourself!

Step 3- Study everything you can find in the MLSP back-office and around the internet about the marketing strategy that you choose, and then implement it and teach people what you’re doing daily.  The more you teach people, the more they will follow you, and when you’re consistent about a specific topic, you’ll become the expert on that topic.  (this means you can blog daily about what you’re learning and implementing)

The other night I was having a going away party with some friends and family, and I realized something extremely profound.

I’ll get to what I realized in a minute, but first I want to tell you what I believed when I was just starting out in this industry.  First off, I believed that I’d be a millionaire inside of 10 months, because I truly believed that everyone would see the awesome opportunity in being an entrepreneur and living a life of freedom.  Boy was I wrong.  In fact, 6 months into my business and I had racked up over $15k in credit card debt to make a whopping $15.00 commission.

So then I realized that not everyone would see the opportunity in the Network Marketing industry.  The crazy thing is that some people believe it to be a scam, a pyramid scheme, or something of this nature because they do not fully understand the industry. 

My next thought was that if I could start making some money that my friends and family would all want to join me in whatever I’m doing because they’d see the light.  This didn’t happen either.  In fact I remember talking to a friend who had known that I’d been successful with my business enough to have quit my job almost 9 months earlier, and he still wondered if what I was doing was actually working out for me.  Which I suppose he had right to question considering I was only making $3-$5k a month at that point in time. 

I even remember talking to 1 of my mentors who told me that his room-mates didn’t believe that what he was doing in Network Marketing was real even after he showed them he was making over $30k a month. 

So this brings me to the profound thing I realized the other night.  I showed my cousin $10,008.56 in checks that I earned from 1 company in just 1 month, and he still made the statement that what I was doing was a pyramid scam.  He claimed that only the people at the top make money.  I asked him if he thought I was always at the top, to which there was no answer.  He still didn’t believe that what I was doing wasn’t a scam.

So what I realized right then and there is that even after achieving some great success myself those around me might still not believe in what I do or be interested in what I do.  Some people will always believe this to be a scam no matter how much money I make.

I’m seriously contemplating quitting network marketing and going back to my job, because this industry is just too much fun.

I mean it’s not even fair when we’re making money while we’re out partying in Las Vegas with all of our Millionaire friends, and then going hiking in Red Rock Canyon with a bunch of cool people that you’ll see in this video.

I’ve seen a lot of people who thought quitting network marketing was the way to go, and for them, it very well might have been.  They were usually in the industry for years on end, and just never taking any real action.  Then I’ve seen some people who have achieved over $1000 a month with their business, and they still quit.  REALLY?

I can’t believe that your dreams are so worthless to you that you would decide to give up rather than press forward until you get there.

You see, you’ve always got multiple choices you can make at any point in life, and I believe that although it might seem easier to turn around and walk away, I know that the Friday morning we enjoyed in that video was far too priceless to ever think about quitting network marketing and getting a J.O.B. ever again.

Would I think about quitting network marketing??

Absolutely not! Not now, not ever!  Everyday I think about how blessed I am to have the freedoms I have in my life, both financially and time wise, and it practically brings me to tears every time, because I remember working 60-100 hours a week in a hot kitchen and never seeing my family.  Having a job is BULLSHIT!  I know my man David Wood thinks so too!

So Here’s the thing… I can’t imagine quitting network marketing… because I’m going to Live The Dream 2

The bottom line is everyone who isn’t born with a silver spoon in their mouth begins in life unsuccessfully.  I know for a lot of people who start in this industry, it’s usually a hard concept to grasp as to how anyone can teach others to be successful if they themselves aren’t successful.

As I mentioned in the video above, Napoleon Hill was poor when he was traveling the country teaching people how to become successful.  The reason he was able to do this is because he had spent so much time studying and learning from successful people.  At this point in his life he was putting his plan into action on the road to success, and like everyone he was just beginning.

Napoleon Hill continued even though he knew that he himself was not a rich man, he discovered that someone who continues to move forward will become successful.  He didn’t teach people what he had done, he taught people what other more successful people had done to make their fortunes.

This is a  really quick post today… I’ve been listening over and over to 1 of Jeffery Combs audio cds that features his good friend Jerry Clark, and I’ve just got to share something with all of you.

I also know that I’ve been away from making blog posts lately, and sending out e-mails lately, and there’s a good reason for that.  I had my first product launch this week, which I’ve never done before, and that consumed me.  I’ve also been re-structuring my business.

I apologize for being away and not sharing anything, and I promise you when I come back, it will be in FULL EFFECT with some Super-Awesome Knowledge to share.

Back to Jerry Clark, and the brilliant insight I heard him say.  He said “Not everyone is going to see the opportunity in Network Marketing… and that’s ok, they’re not supposed to see it.” He then went on to say, “if everyone was a millionaire, who would wash my car?? Who would set up these chairs?? Who would clean my house??”  “I wouldn’t volunteer to clean your house”, Jerry said.

You’re going to come across a lot of people, and you’re going to wonder why they don’t see the brilliance in working from home in their underwear, and being able to do practically whatever they want whenever they want.  The bottom line is from an early age, we’re all programmed by our parents and our governments to get a J.O.B. and go through the hustle until we can afford to retire and get by until we make it to our graves.

Some of us have chosen a different path than that, and we’re willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.  These are the kind of people that we want to attract into our circle and our businesses.  If you’re still going after people who aren’t interested in network marketing or working from home, and you’re trying to convince them that this is the opportunity of a lifetime, YOU’RE WASTING YOUR TIME.
