Don’t spend money on training courses to make yourself better

I invest money in myself all the time, and if you’re on my list you know that I offer various training courses to you that you have to spend money on…

So why would I tell you not to spend money on training courses to make yourself better?

It’s very simple really… it’s about you, but it’s not about you at the same time. In fact it’s more “not about you” all of the time.

So think for a moment… Why would you invest money in training courses if not to make yourself better at what you do?

You invest in training courses, seminars, audios, books, private coaching with successful people to become a better leader for your team so that your team can become better.

Let me repeat that… you invest in yourself so that your team can become stronger.

The more you know, the greater you are, the better marketer you become… the more you’ll be able to coach and mentor your team and help them make more money.

So although you are investing in yourself, you’re not doing it just for you.

You’re doing it for your team members and future team members; because when you’re able to coach and mentor your team with the new skill sets you’ve learned you’re going to be able to help them make more money. When your team members are making money, they’ll continue to be your team members. The more you can help them the longer they’ll stick around.

So from here on out, when you’re looking at investing any money into a training course, private coaching, a live event, basically anything that will help you become more knowledgeable and valuable… Start to ask “How will this help my team members or future team members” and if you come to the conclusion that by you learning something will help your team, then pay the money to invest in yourself and your team.

How to work less and make more money NOW

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always dreamed of spending my days on the beach, golfing, relaxing… really just doing what I want to do with my life, and making more money than ever before while working less.

In fact if you’re still reading this post, then I know that’s exactly what you want in your life as well, and you absolutely deserve to have that. So pay attention, cause that’s exactly what I’m about to share with you.

The key is FOCUS… FOCUS… FOCUS!

When you wake up in the morning the best thing to do is to clear your mind, and not begin the day off with chaos. DO NOT check your emails… DO NOT login to Facebook… DO NOT get on skype… basically do not do anything other than clearing your mind and getting focused.

So you probably want to know how to start your day so that you have a clear mind and stay focused to get more work done in less time.

When you wake up meditate for 10-20 minutes first thing. Sit cross-legged with great posture and your eyes closed, and breathe deep and slow clearing your mind with every breath you take. Do this for 10-20 minutes every single morning.

The next thing you will do each morning is personal development… read for 15-30 minutes every day. Read anything that is helping you grow emotionally, mentally, and personally. (This is the true secret to success)

Then do some form of exercise for 15-60 minutes. Cardio, yoga, weights… any or all of these are great to get your blood pumping and really clear your mind.

When this becomes a part of your daily routine you will notice that your mind is clearer and you have more focused thoughts throughout your day. You will also have increased energy for hours, which will help you create more business with less time.

Now that your mind is clear and you have energy, you’re ready to get to work.

Map out a consistent action plan of what you will do for marketing your business every day. When you know exactly what you’re doing each day, you won’t have to spend time thinking about what to get done; you’ll simply be able to get to work. (for example, the first thing I do after my hour of power is write a blog post every day, then connect create my email for my list, and connect with some new people on Facebook… this is all done within an hour or so)

This will leave you plenty of time to call your leads, educate yourself more with various training courses that you’re purchasing, and host any webinars or team training calls all within about 4-5 hours per day of actual focused work.

Now here’s the best part. Make time to do what you enjoy doing daily. If you want to go golfing, DO IT. If you want to spend time with your family, DO IT. If you want to go lay on the beach and have a few margaritas like I’m about to go do with Adam Chandler and Melissa Hoffman down here in Tampa Florida, JUST FRICKEN DO IT!

This is why we’ve all gotten involved in this amazing industry. I know it certainly wasn’t to spend 14 hours a day sitting in front of a computer; although that’s certainly necessary at times. When you move through life with FOCUSED INTENTION, you will get more done in less time and make more money because of it.

Just remember that it all starts with clearing your mind and getting focused every morning. That is something that you must do on your own.

Good Luck on making your millions Jordan

This is a phrase I’ve heard so often, even from fellow up and coming entrepreneurs that it’s time I shared my thoughts with the world. “Good luck with making your millions Jordan”.

The people that believe becoming a millionaire has anything to do with luck play the lottery or gamble away their money on football games and in Las Vegas. The entrepreneurs who know it has nothing to do with luck simply get down to work until they achieve their desired result. Then they gamble simply for pleasure.

When someone says “Good Luck” it shows me that they believe that they have no control over the success they achieve in life. I remember even back in school when I would get ready for exams, and I’d hear good luck, heck I’d even say good luck to people taking their exams… I now realize that scoring a good grade on the exam had only to do with the fact that I was prepared from a semester’s worth of studying, reading, and practicing for the final exam. Luck had nothing to do with it. I was prepared because I worked hard, and I graduated high school with a 3.6 because I studied for my exams and put in the work to achieve those good final grades.

The reason I’m writing this is because I know someone, if only one person, will read this who uses that word “LUCK” and will now change their vocabulary to no longer use that word when it comes to success. Luck is for gambling, and your business should definitely not be riding on it.

Honestly, I can think back to when I started my business and had absolutely no marketing experience what so ever… I was terrified of the phone, and had absolutely no clue what I was doing. I didn’t even fully understand what I was selling to people. I was mostly hoping at that point that people would simply want to join me because of the business and that they wouldn’t be able to say no to such a wonderful opportunity. This was almost like praying for luck, because I had absolutely no skill set to attract people to me, or for that matter coach people once they joined my team. I was gambling with the $15,000 in credit cards I had that my business would magically start making boat loads of cash before I ran out of money. It didn’t happen.

That’s when I realized “LUCK” had nothing to do with my success and I would actually have to find myself a mentor and learn how to develop the required skill sets to be a successful marketer/business owner. So I did… and 2 years later I’m now achieving 6-figures a year in my business and loving life.

A clutter free mind= a millionaire mind

So we’re onto day 3 of our 100 day biz builder challenge, and 1 of the assignments for the Million Dollar challenge is to clean our workspace, our car, our room, basically clean our entire lives. Adam Chandler explained that by doing this I’ll be immediately holding myself to a higher standard, and I’ll also clear the clutter out of my mind.

The truth is when I’m working, and I’m constantly looking at clutter, or for that matter, when I’m going through my daily life and surrounded by a mess, then my mind can’t possibly function clearly. He also explained that by holding myself to a higher standard, such as cleaning my car and keeping it clean, making my bed, keeping things organized and clean rather than letting them get messy, that I’ll naturally hold all areas of my life including business to a higher standard.

So if you look at my picture below, you can see my cluttered desk… be on the lookout for some updated photos or videos of the new me.

So because Adam and I are leading this challenge, we’re setting the example for all 25 of our students to follow. As soon as I’m done typing this blog post I’m going to start cleaning and organizing my space, I’m going to clean my car, I’m going to make my bed, and I’m going to continue to keep my life this way from here on out. I know that by doing this I will consciously and subconsciously clear the clutter from my mind and I’ll be able to focus and concentrate better.

I mean, the simple fact that my desk is a mess right now is actually making it hard for me to stay focused on this blog post. It makes it hard for me to focus on any projects that I work on, and I know that I take 2-3 times as long as I should when I work on anything because of all the clutter in my life.

From here on out I will have no more clutter, and I highly suggest that you too clear the clutter out of your life and hold yourself to a higher standard. Exercise more… eat some more healthy foods, drink more water, keep your car clean, organize your office, and your mind will follow. Remember that your mind is the money maker… your mind is what will make you millions, so take care of it.

Even if you’re not a part of our 100 day challenge, you can still commit to forming excellent habits with us over the next 100 days of your life, so that when that 100 day period is over, you’re a new person with successful, productive habits.
