Honestly so does every new marketer that joins my team or becomes a student of mine, which is why I’ve felt compelled to finally answer the question once and for all…

So let me start with giving the answer that most of my new students or team members really are looking for when they want to know what the best lead generation strategy on the internet is…

The best lead generation strategy for me has been blogging, and that’s because I enjoy blogging and when I originally got started I had a very low budget, so I required something that would allow me to generate network marketing leads for free with the very low costs of running a blog.

When I first got started online I didn’t know that blogging was the best lead generation strategy for me, in fact I spent right around $15,000 filtering through various strategies…

…I jumped around from one strategy to the next one always searching for what was the best strategy for someone else, and it wasn’t until about 5 months of jumping around from strategy to strategy that I figured it all out…

The other morning I woke up and…

…I felt extremely excited and a little nervous because… I knew I was leaving home for an entire month, and …I had never been gone for that long at 1 time so I was feeling unprepared.  Have you ever felt excited and nervous before?

Then I started listening to the voice in my head that was frantically trying to figure out everything that I had to get done in the 2 hours before my shuttle would arrive at my house, and…

…I didn’t know where to start so I kind of froze.  Have you ever had to tell yourself to breathe and just start getting things done 1 at a time?

I’m sure you can envision a time in your life where you simply had to decide to start taking some action or you would be stuck watching things pass you by. 

Think back to a time in your life where you were excited and nervous because you felt unprepared for what you were about to do.

Today I’m going to share a story with you about how to take action even when you’re uncertain of the outcome, because this is what we must do to get through most of life and particularly in our home businesses.  You see most of us have never built a successful network marketing business before, and we’re learning entirely new skills, so we have to constantly attempt new things we’re uncertain of to find out what works best for us. 

So what you’re going to learn today after I’m done telling this story is a simple method you can use immediately to become unstuck even when you’re afraid because you’re uncertain of the outcome. 

Now I’m sitting here in my brother’s living room watching the packer game, and at the same time my nephew Miles is attempting to crawl across the floor to my girlfriend.  Picture this little 7 month old baby boy sitting there with the cutest smile in the world, and all of a sudden he decides he wants to be somewhere else, but he doesn’t know how to crawl…

…so he basically falls over onto his side and then rolls onto his tummy, and…

…he starts pulling himself across the floor, and then he kind of figures out how to get up on his knees and hands and almost crawls a few inches before he falls back over, and…

… then he’s kind of frustrated, but giggling and smiling with his cute little face at the same time, and he keeps dragging himself across the floor towards Sarah, and…

NOW Think back to a time in your past when you were afraid to do something because you didn’t know how to do it, but you decided to do it anyways just because you wanted to figure it out and you wanted a different result than you currently had.  Think about what caused that feeling of curiosity that allowed you to overcome your fear.  How did you feel at that exact moment when you decided to overcome your fear and take the action?

You now feel the exact way you felt when you decided to face your fear and take action…

So now with that feeling inside you, you can conquer any fear that you’re facing. 

Then you can finally fill in the blanks and stop wondering what if ________ happens??  What if I don’t succeed??  What if I only get _______ result?? 

…because you’ll now know exactly what happened when you did the thing you were afraid of, and you’ll have faced your fear. 

So Miles actually dragged himself all the way across the floor with a few crawls in the middle and when he got over to Sarah she picked him up and hugged him and kissed him and loved him, and he was so happy and smiling and excited because even though he didn’t really know how to crawl he was starting to learn and he got the end result he wanted…

…he moved across the floor like 5 feet and got love and attention and praise.

So finally when I was sitting there frozen in my bed because I didn’t know what to do, I decided to simply get up out of bed and start my day with a vanilla protein shake and after that everything else just seemed to happen the way it was supposed to and I’m now back in Wisconsin enjoying the holiday season with my family.

Here are 5 Tips for Enhancing Your Network Marketing Teams Performance in your Network Marketing business. I was visiting with my good friend and business partner Jordan Schultz earlier today and we were speaking about the development of our Team this past year and the different skills of the individuals that comprise our Team. We started to plan how we will use their different skills to empower other teammates to acquire new skill sets in 2012.

See them as to who they are today, and then visualize who they can become with the proper skill enhancements.Teach them that this business is a process and a journey and as they continue to apply themselves “breakthroughs” and new pathways will appear. They will learn that anyone can and will become a Leader if they desire that path.

Believe in the best of everyone – be fast to listen and slow to judge….we are all on a different part of our journey and remember they joined you on your team. Lead by example, with your heart and your joy of life. Be sure that if something is astray with a teammate that the evidence is overwhelming before you believe in any negativity about and/or concerning them!

Continually believe in Your Team- There are times in everyone’s network marketing career when doubt, fear, and frustration can become overwhelming. When this happens, give them your belief in them and in this Awesome Industry. Share a time when you were feeling the same way, and what you did do work your way out of your rut. Ask them for a creative solution to the problem. The last thing you want to do is agree with them. You may have to kick them in the butt, or twist their ear, but your belief in them must be unwavering.

Catch them doing something right- When you believe in someone, point out the things they do well, and edify them in front of their peers and family. Ask them how they created that situation and have them teach their strategy to our other teammates. Sharing the small successes with others will create a culture of sharing and open minds ……which leads to ……

Getting them accustomed to being out of their comfort zone. You, of course, are leading them by example. Speak to them about your vulnerabilities, and allow as to how you plan to change them. You are turning your weaknesses into strengths and your team is watching you in your process.You are Taking Action and creating a New You! You are subliminally giving them permission to do the same…..

And when they do, You are Enhancing Your Network Marketing Teams Performance.….

You are creating Leaders throughout your organization !  Who wants an “Entourage” of followers and “yes men/women”? Not me ! I want to surround myself with folks that are smarter than I, with different skill sets than I, and different thought processes than I ! Folks that will assist me in becoming the best that I am capable of, and won’t be afraid to ask me the tough questions at the proper time. Enhancing Your Teams Performance

Whenever you start a new business or add another income stream there is a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it. 

Over the past 11 months I’ve started 2 new businesses/income streams with a bang, and it gave me massive momentum both times.  Today I’m going to share with you some of the principles that you can follow too so you can kick-start any new business like a raging bull. 

So in my dream last night I was down at a rodeo in Mexico and chatting with a talking bull just after he got through getting the cowboy off his back in less than 8 seconds… yes I was talking to a bull in my dream.  Anyways, I said to him “what’s the easiest way to get the cowboy off his back?”

The bull told me as soon as he gets out of the gate he’s like ignorance on fire… he just goes full-on wild in all directions to gain control of the cowboy right from the beginning, and that if he were to come out slow and steady thinking of the best move to toss the cowboy, he wouldn’t have the momentum to complete his mission, and that’s when…

…I woke up and realized I was dreaming, but also that the bull understood how to start a business. 

When you join a new business opportunity or you’re simply launching a new program, course, affiliate product, etc… you must TAKE ALL OUT MASSIVE ACTION. 

For example when I started in Numis Network back in February I was able to sign up 4 team members in my first week.  Watch this video for more details on how I did that. 

-          I emailed and contacted everyone in my warm market to take a look at my new business

-          I emailed my list consistently for a few weeks about my new opportunity

-          I called, skyped, or connected with anyone I knew that was involved in network marketing to tell them I just joined the best team of internet/network marketers in the world

-          I wrote multiple blog posts

-          I hosted webinars

-          I attended a company event, Numis University in my first 4 days and had all of the leaders in the company in Ray Higdon’s hotel room for a live Ustream (the video didn’t even work, but we still rocked the house with just audio)

-          I also finally understood the concept of multiple exposures (people usually require 5-7 exposures before they will join a company) You can read more about that in tomorrow’s blog post on the multiple exposure concept

When I joined Numis I didn’t understand the compensation plan… I didn’t even understand too much about the value of the numismatic coins until about 6 months in when I saw Keith Love live in Denver explaining why these coins are so valuable… in fact I didn’t even know how to answer most objections that people had for me about the business, the company, the owners, etc…

The cool thing is that NONE OF THAT MATTERS.  In fact it’s better for you to not know that much about the company as long as you trust the leadership inside the company you’ll go far.  The reason it’s better to be ignorance on fire is because your prospects will believe they can do it too if you show them they don’t have to know anything in the beginning.  So what’s the solution if you don’t know anything??

So as you can see it’s easy to kick-start your business.  In fact you don’t even have to know much about it other than the fact that you’re excited to be involved.  Let the tools and your upline do the selling and telling for you.  The key you must remember is that it takes all out massive action to really get things going right away.

Living the life of your dreams is probably the reason you got involved in this industry…

It’s also probably the reason why your prospects are looking to get involved, even though they say they just want to make more money, get out of debt, save up for their kid’s college, or something like that.  I’ll get back to your prospects in a minute, cause this is a very important concept to use when you’re prospecting. 

First I want to share 1 major insight with you… you see I’ve listened to Mark Hoverson and his 21 prospecting secrets at least 15 times… and what he shared with me last night finally got pounded into my head.  I’m assuming since you’re human as well (maybe you’re an alien like David Wood, but probably not)  that you too require repetition to really learn new concepts and master them.  You see I have become much better at talking with my prospects since listening to his course 15 times, in fact I enrolled 9 network marketing reps in 9 days right after listening to his course, but this concept is the icing on the cake.

Not only is this concept good for your prospects… it’s also awesome for your team members… and guess who else??

Yep, it’s awesome for you to think about in all aspects of your life.  Relationships, health, business, anything…

So the concept is are you interested or committed?

How can you apply this and start living the life of your dreams?

Alright… when you talk to your prospect before they even see a presentation for your opportunity, product, or service you should find out why they’re taking the time to look at it… how will their life change when they achieve their success with whatever it is?  So when they come back to you later on and they’re honestly telling you that they love the company, product, or service and want in, but just can’t “come up with the money” for example…

…you then ask them if you can coach them.  Watch this video I did with Mark at Epcot in Disney about coaching people

When they agree to being coached, seriously agree 2-3 times… you then ask them if they are serious or committed to “living the life of their dreams” for example. Say, “How committed are you to being able to see every soccer game your son Bobby ever plays” like you said you wanted?? 

Really hammer this concept into them… that you want to coach them to achieving their goals, and that they have to be more than just interested… they have to be seriously committed for you to help them.  When they tell you multiple times they are committed, that’s when you’re able to really step into coaching them and start digging into their finances or whatever you must dig into to get them started with your opportunity. 

Last insight I want to share with you… you can’t ever feel bad about expecting someone who is committed to give it all they got to achieve the life of their dreams… because what may seem like sacrifice either time-wise or financially right now will certainly pay off when they achieve their dreams.  I know this because I used to get persecuted by my loved ones about doing what seemed like CRAZY things to keep building my business… (selling off all my stuff, going into massive debt, running my bank accounts negative almost weekly, etc…) and now all that was absolutely worth it because I truly love my life.

You too can CREATE THE LIFE OF YOUR DREAMS as soon as…

…DECIDE TO COMMIT TO LIVING THE LIFE OF YOUR DREAMS, and then…

…you can HELP YOUR PROSPECTS DECIDE TO START LIVING THE THE LIFE OF THEIR DREAMS
