Facebook Groups- Your KEY to success with Facebook Marketing!
Creating your own group is the key to Facebook Marketing. There are so many features available with your own group, that I would consider you insane to not have your own! First off, inviting people to join your group usually is non-threatening, which allows you to gather a larger group than you would get with your website capture page. Groups are a great place to start sharing your knowledge, and promote yourself as the leader. You can send out e-mails to your group as a whole, invite them to events, and have your main group page set-up as a sales page to make some affiliate commissions. It’s also just a great way to attract more people to you without breaking Facebook’s rules. However, even with all this information about Facebook groups, you’ll still need to learn a little bit about Facebook Marketing in general.
When you’re creating your group, think about keywords to use in your title. You want people to find you through searches, and you also want to have a title that attracts them to your group. When choosing your picture, I’d simply stick with a shot of yourself so that people continue to know you, as well choose a catch phrase to write next to the picture. You can edit your picture in a simple program like “paint”. Having words in your picture will attract people to your group over other groups right away.
Once you have that step completed, it’s time to begin putting together your group. Think about exactly what you’re going to be offering your group in terms of training or knowledge, and start by telling them what they’re going to receive inside of your group. I’ve chosen to offer some resources of mine in my group description, because they’re great resources, and they make me some affiliate commissions along the way. The one thing about putting your affiliate links there, is you want to make them look nice, and you don’t want to sound like your selling products. If you set up your description part correctly, you’ll be making your affiliate commissions! One other thing you’ll want to include in this section is a link to your website or Blog, this is very important for you to generate some traffic to your websites.
Now that you have your group set up, let’s cover some great features that make Facebook groups so amazing. You can send out group mails as often as you’d like, you can create events, and invite everyone in the group as well as everyone in your friends to the events, and you can share your knowledge in the discussion boards! Let’s put all of this together to start making you some money!
First off, we have the group e-mails. One thing you want to remember is DO NOT SPAM your groups. In fact, if you can make it through an entire month of e-mails to your group, and only pitch a product once or twice, then you’ll be doing exactly what you should be. Remember that you want to provide knowledge to your groups! If you’re providing great knowledge to your group, you’ll get more visitors to both your group and your websites. A great place for you to gather knowledge would be http://www.ezinearticles.com
Once I send out the training e-mails to my group, I like to take the information, write it into an article, and post it in the discussion board of my group. When I send out the e-mails I let everyone know that I’ll be posting in the discussion board, and I also explained that in my group description to let the newcomers know where to look for some great information right away! In those posts on the discussion board, I might have some links to a website of mine, an affiliate product, or even just my blog where I’ll also have the article posted! Great way to keep the “quality traffic” flowing to my sites! I’ve provided the knowledge to them first, and then I’m showing them the resources.
Events are yet another way to attract people to your sites. I personally have a weekly training webinar with my team, and I invite everyone to join the calls, so when I send out the e-mails to everyone, I also create an event, and I’m able to invite not only my group members to the event, but every single one of my Facebook contacts as well. Webinars are a great way to offer knowledge to your prospects for free, and get their contact information in return.
The last thing there is to cover with groups, is inviting members to join. I like to invite all of my Facebook contacts to join my group, but before I do that, I make a post of some sort on their wall so that they see me and get to know me! As with everything else on Facebook, don’t overuse this feature. You can invite 20 or so people to join your group at one time. When you send out the invitation, you should add your own personal message! It’ll stick out from the rest of the group invites they receive on a daily basis.
Overall, your group should be nothing more than your knowledge shared with the world of network marketers, and a place where you can link them to your other websites, affiliate products, or blogs. Remember to share more knowledge than anything else, and your group will grow exponentially. After your group is around a little while, people will start joining your group on their own. That’s when the fun starts!
