Then something inside told me I needed to be there to meet all of these leaders and to actually meet some of the people I had been connecting with online.

I’m writing this post because I’ve been doing private coaching sessions with a lot of different people over the past few months, and I’ve realized that the people who’ve been in or around this industry for more than a few months have the same block.  They’re putting in long hours every day, and connecting with a lot of people, but they’re blocking themselves from achieving success.  They get inside of their head too much.  I’m going to tell you exactly what the block is, and how to get over it NOW!

First off, I want to preface that starting your own business is entirely different from a J.O.B. in every aspect.  No one is going to be there to make sure you’re getting done what you need to get done on a daily basis.  That’s not to say that the help and guidance isn’t there for you, but you have to seek it out.  Your upline truly wants you to succeed, but they more than likely have a ton of other people under them and don’t have the time to check in on you and make sure you’re doing what you need to.

What I like to do with my sponsor is contact him and tell him whenever something really big happens in my business. (if you don’t believe me, scroll down and watch the first testimonial in the right side-bar with Brian Fanale) Now this entirely depends on where you’re at, but e-mail them when you get your first lead… your first 10 leads… your first affiliate commission… your first member signup and so on.  Let them know that you’re achieving results, and they’ll give you the support you need.   They’ll also motivate you even further when this happens, which is one of the biggest reasons a lot of people have a mental block.

I’ve come to realize that although some of the people I’ve been coaching have achieved success,, they don’t see it that way because no one has actually told them they’re on the right track.  They still have the J.O.B. mentality, and that’s ok.  It takes a minute to get over.  The way I judge my success is if I’m consistently growing and moving forward by any measurement. (leads, traffic, conversions, member signups, affiliate sales, etc…)

Now I’m going to move on to the point that I really wanted to make with this post here… I had someone tell me that they felt they had  a ton of great information to share with people, in fact they had it all put together… the only thing they didn’t do was publish it and let people know about it, because they weren’t sure if it was good enough.

They were concerned specifically because they said to me, “you look and sound so confident in your videos and your blog posts”… I replied, “Some of those 5 minute videos took me an hour of research and multiple recordings before I got the steps right in my how-to videos… It was simply a matter of I knew it was good information to share, and I did my due diligence to portray like I was an expert to my viewers”.

You’re a Leader the second you decide to be a leader…

Being a leader isn’t easy, but it’s certainly rewarding and fun once other people realize you are a leader.  You don’t have to say you’re a leader; you simply have to prove it.

So Here’s my real point of all of this… Don’t wait for someone else to tell you you’re on the right track.  Don’t wait to decide to become a leader and share all of that valuable information you have inside of you.  Be a leader, and do whatever you feel it is you’re supposed to do… Mess up a bunch of times, and move forward.  Get out of that J.O.B. mentality, and step into being an entrepreneur.  You know you want it, and more importantly YOU DESERVE IT.

I also know that I’ve been away from making blog posts lately, and sending out e-mails lately, and there’s a good reason for that.  I had my first product launch this week, which I’ve never done before, and that consumed me.  I’ve also been re-structuring my business.

Back to Jerry Clark, and the brilliant insight I heard him say.  He said “Not everyone is going to see the opportunity in Network Marketing… and that’s ok, they’re not supposed to see it.” He then went on to say, “if everyone was a millionaire, who would wash my car?? Who would set up these chairs?? Who would clean my house??”  “I wouldn’t volunteer to clean your house”, Jerry said.

You’re going to come across a lot of people, and you’re going to wonder why they don’t see the brilliance in working from home in their underwear, and being able to do practically whatever they want whenever they want.  The bottom line is from an early age, we’re all programmed by our parents and our governments to get a J.O.B. and go through the hustle until we can afford to retire and get by until we make it to our graves.

Some of us have chosen a different path than that, and we’re willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.  These are the kind of people that we want to attract into our circle and our businesses.  If you’re still going after people who aren’t interested in network marketing or working from home, and you’re trying to convince them that this is the opportunity of a lifetime, YOU’RE WASTING YOUR TIME.

So I was at my Grandma’s House the other day with my brother Ryan, and we were working on a really old reel-to-reel video projector.  She had some old reels of film that she wanted to view and see if they were even worth saving, and she had no clue how to set this video projector up.  That was something my grandpa had always done, and he never showed her how to do it before he passed.

You can imagine how well my brother and I were figuring this thing out, being that we have ipods, ipads, and videos on our cell phones.  We kept telling my grandma that she should just get an Ipod and put it all on there.

Although this task seemed pretty improbable for us to figure out, we were pretty determined to get it done.  Once we began setting it up, we just couldn’t stop.  That’s kind of the way we are.  Now I’m getting to the point of my whole story here.

We didn’t have directions, so we  turned to the best internet marketing success tool EVER.

We searched for directions on setting up this particular model video projector, and wouldn’t you know it a how-to video came up on Youtube that literally walked us through step-by-step of setting this thing up.  Of course they made it look easy in the video.

Anyways, my point is that we live in the information and technology age, and practically anything we want to know is at our fingertips… LITERALLY.

Take this same tool we used…GOOGLE… and use the Heck out of it when you’re stuck on something in your business.  If you don’t know something, search for it. You’re an entrepreneur, and my real point is that if people are constantly asking their sponsors every little question that comes up, how the heck are the sponsors ever going to have time to build their businesses??

If you don’t have a large team below you right now, you will at some point, and you’ll realize how little time you actually have for 1-on-1 time with each person on a daily basis.  For this reason you should become very comfortable with Google yourself, so you can pass the same principles on to your team members.

P.S.  I remember 1 time I had to Learn how to do something on my own, because I couldn’t afford to pay anyone to do it for me… I spent over 14 hours in a row searching Google and reading articles, watching videos, and messing with my blog to fix the problem… I finally found a solution after 14 hours.
