I’m sure you can tell from reading my posts or seeing me around social media, that I absolutely love social media marketing.  This has been my biggest focus since I began marketing online.  I’m able to connect with almost 100 new people per day through sites like Facebook and Twitter, and begin building lasting relationships with people all over the world.  I also love social media marketing because it’s 100% FREE, and that was a necessity when I first began because I lost all of my money in PPC in my first few months of marketing.

First I wanted to go over what your average internet marketer is probably doing after they generate leads or contacts.  The internet has made it very easy for people to connect without actually speaking to one another.  There are options to chat with your contacts in almost every social media site, skype, messenger tools, etc…  There is also e-mail, which is a powerful tool for the masses, but not the greatest for an individual conversation.  Don’t get me wrong, I love to use e-mail and messenger tools for quick conversations with my contacts, or at the beginning of the relationship, but there’s one thing that most people get wrong, which is where the #1 Prospecting Tip comes into play.

Your contacts want to know that you’re a real person, and not just some scammer sitting behind a computer.  They NEED to Know that you’re a real person.  There’s only one way for you to truly connect with your leads, and to actually get to know them and let them hear your true passion for what you do.  The only way they can tell if you’re successful or going to be successful is when they hear your voice over the phone.  The truth is you can be an excellent connector through social media or the computer, but this business is all about networking with Human Beings, and actually picking up the phone and calling them.

I don’t want to make you think that the only thing in your life should be your business, because that couldn’t be further from the truth, but rather for you to Realize What’s IMPORTANT and What’s NOT.  Could you get by on only watching 30 minutes of TV per day or better yet per week?  Could you get by on going out with friends only 1 night per week?  Do You think your internet marketing business might be better if you decided to read books for personal development or marketing strategies rather than watch TV??

Why am I writing this post??

To make you realize exactly what I realized a few months back, and because my girlfriend just lost her job a few days ago.  The company she worked for closed her entire department.  Everyone lost their jobs in a matter of a day.
