Have you approached your warm market about other companies in the past, and burned them out?

Are they just not interested in this pyramid thing at all?

Today I’m going to share with you a few reasons why you should absolutely approach your warm market even if you feel they’re burnt out!

You see I got involved in Numis just over a year ago, and I had hounded my warm market about a previous opportunity I was in for the previous 2 years.  So much so that they were actually swearing at me when I would mention what I was doing.  I had already decided that I would not approach my warm market ever again and solely build my business online.

Then I got a message from Ray Higdon, the #1 earner in Numis.  He said that he had approached his warm market about 12 previous companies he was in.  Then when he joined Numis he made his warm market list and contacted everyone again for the 13^th opportunity. 

He then proceeded to tell me that 2 of his warm market contacts are now making over $10,000 per month in his team and asked me if I was going to be selfish or share this amazing opportunity with my warm market?

I got the picture, so I decided to start contacting my warm market using the warm market approach I share below.

I also remembered hearing Mark Hoverson talk about having the integrity to do things not just for ourselves, but for our future team members.  What that means is that we can’t expect something of our team that we ourselves are not willing to do. 

We must make a list of our warm market and approach our warm market about this awesome opportunity so that when we bring a new team member in we can tell them to face their fears and do the same thing.  You don’t have to hound your warm market, a simple question is all you have to ask, and if they say yes or no it’s cool either way.

Now I remember hosting my first live presentation a few weeks into being in Numis and my sponsor Adam Chandler told me he was absolutely amazed how awesome I did for my first ever live presentation.

How did I do so well on my first ever live online presentation?

I approached my warm market using the “How to effectively prospect your warm market… the EASY way” approach, and what happened was…

…I broke through my fears of presenting and speaking in front of people…

…I learned all the objections and questions that my prospects would have about the business opportunity and products, as well as did the research on how to answer these questions, and…

…I signed my dad and step-mom into my team in my first week in the business because they flat out saw the opportunity with an open mind.

So even if you feel you’ve burnt out your warm market with other opportunities or you believe they just plain may not be interested, you should absolutely approach your warm market because they too deserve to change their lives with your powerful opportunity. 

Your future team members deserve you to be a leader who’s willing to face your fears so you can truly lead them, and… 

…you absolutely require the training that you will get from the first-hand experience of presenting your opportunity and going through the motions of building your business even if everyone in your entire warm market doesn’t join your team.

Once you finish contacting your entire warm market, you’re going to need some more people to talk to…

Today I’m going to share a story with you about how not to sign up your first mlm distributor, because…

…I was thinking back to this exact experience in my business very early on as I was hosting the MLSP prospecting call last night!  (every Thursday you can attend a live training to learn prospecting from top earners in the industry as long as you’re a member of MLSP)

I told everyone on the call I’d share that story today, as well as some insights as to what I did right and what I did wrong.  It’s alright with me if you laugh or chuckle even in the comments below.  This is pretty funny for me to think back on.

So let me take you back, and share with you how not to sign up your first MLM distributor. 

I was in business for around a month at this point in time.  I was paying money every day through Google PPC to generate leads because I had no clue what I was doing.  I was simply sending traffic to my capture pages and getting some leads. 

So one particular lead that I worked up the courage to call after days of waiting, was the absolute perfect lead for a beginner, because he was practically a lay-down sale.  (a lay-down sale means he was ready to join with almost no effort on my part)

Our first conversation was great.  He said he liked what he saw so far and didn’t have a chance yet to review the entire sales video so he’d have to finish that first.  He told me that he was looking to start a home-business so he could change his life and he was hungry for success.

So we agreed he’d watch the rest of the video and we scheduled a follow-up call.

I called him back and he told me he was in.  He was ready to join!  The only thing was he was on the road at the time and he wouldn’t be home for a few hours, so we’d have to connect later that day to get him started.

(***at this point in time I should have scheduled the appointment with him and hung up)

I didn’t do that at all!

In fact I went on to get overly excited that someone wanted to join me, and told him how excited I was about our future business plans.  I also went on to explain to him that he was my first team member and I was basically brand new to the business and that we’d be learning together as we went along.  This conversation went on for about 20-30 minutes! 

You can laugh now! 

He never answered my phone calls again, and never joined my team.  He went into the witness protection program!

Now of course this is an exaggerated experience that probably doesn’t happen to this extreme too often.  I don’t mean that I’m exaggerating what I did, because I most certainly did exactly what I said… I mean that most people probably don’t make this exact mistake all the time.

What does tend to happen though is that when people are ready to buy and they’re telling us they’re ready to join, we might continue trying to sell them on why they should join rather than just closing the sale and signing them up.

So when people tell you they’re ready to join, SHUT UP and just get them to sign on the dotted line. PERIOD!

Many people I meet believe they have to know it all about their company to enroll reps and build a successful team.  I’ve even had team members of mine tell me they were glad their prospects didn’t ask questions after seeing a presentation, because they didn’t know any of the answers to questions that would have been asked.

Today I’m going to teach you how to build a team and make money with 1 simple answer to almost every question you’ll get asked when you’re first starting out. 

Would you life be easier if you only needed to know 1 answer?  Of course it would, and today your life is going to get a lot easier!

So when you’re first starting out, and showing the business opportunity to your warm market prospects did you know it’s actually better if you don’t know everything about the company, and you aren’t perfect at presenting and showing the opportunity.

Let me tell you why it’s better for you to know nothing by sharing some insights with you.

What do you believe your warm market prospects will think about this “EASY BUSINESS FROM HOME” if you come in and pull off a flawless presentation, can recite every detail of the company compensation plan, know all about the company’s history, know every detail on how the product was extracted from the rainforest by award winning scientists from Zimbabwe, and can answer any and all questions they might have about the company, products, or business opportunity??

They’re going to look at what you’ve just done, and say this looks too difficult… I can’t do that, nor do I want to practice til I’m perfect like that so I can start making some extra money in this supposedly “EASY BUSINESS FROM HOME”.

However, if you follow what I teach in the Warm market training above, you’ll find that it’s entirely ok to suck terribly bad when you’re just starting out.  In fact it’s better, because your warm market prospects will look at you and say “I can do this too… This looks like an EASY BUSINESS FROM HOME”

I’m sure by now you’re wondering what the 1 answer to almost every question is.  It’s simple really.

After you’ve shown your prospects the presentation following what I teach in my warm market training, or even if you’ve found prospects online through attraction marketing, and they begin asking you questions about the company, comp plan, products, and really anything at all…

…you can simply say “you know what John, these are some really great questions.  The truth is I’m brand new in this company and I don’t have the answers myself, however you and I can get on the phone with my good friend Jordan Schultz, because he’s been in the company a lot longer and he knows the answers to these great questions you’re asking.  So let me get in touch with Jordan and figure out a time when the 3 of us can get together on the phone and he can answer your questions for you”

You see by letting John know that you’re not the expert and that you’ve got a great friend in your team who can answer his questions, you’re doing a few things right.

1. You’re letting John know that it’s ok to not be an expert in this business
2. You’re taking the pressure off of yourself, and you’re more likely to get more people in front of a presentation
3. You’re showing John that he’ll have great team support when he decides to join the team
4. You’ll also get to learn firsthand how your sponsor prospects people on the phone

So the lesson today is when you’re first starting out, DON’T BE AN EXPERT.  Ignorance on Fire is far better in the beginning.  Bring in the support of your sponsor or other upline support.  (We’ve got a 3-way call contact list for our team)  This is a team business, and it’s all about learning right in the field of action.  Let your team support you and watch how easy this business really is.
