Over the past few years I’ve been involved in multiple launches, I’ve also created my own launches for my products and business opportunity, and of course I’ve made some pretty serious mistakes. 

Today I want to share some of those mistakes with you, so you don’t have to make those same mistakes when you decide to launch your product or business.  

Before I get into my mistakes, I’m sure you might be wondering why you should even trust that I can teach you how to run a launch?

Here’s why: 

- My very first primary business launch resulted in 5 reps in 24 hours all on my own

- Every industry wide product launch I’ve made a minimum of $1000 in affiliate commissions for the past 20 months running, and have even been awarded the top 5 and 10 positions for 2 major launches

- Adam Chandler and myself launched our very own training course and did over $50,000 in sales in just 10 days

Now that you know some of my success…

Here are 3 mistakes I’ve personally made and some of the solutions:

Not creating enough exposure- I’ve personally believed in the past that people would get upset if I went too nuts about my product or company.  The truth is that most people on your list or in your sphere of influence aren’t paying attention to you 100% of the time.  That’s just your EGO thinking that they are.

So you can really create so much buzz and only a small percentage of the people in your sphere of influence will know what’s going on.  The more buzz you create, the more chance you have of sucking people into the excitement.

In the beginning of this video we really go into great detail about HOW TO CREATE A LOT OF BUZZ!

Make it easy for your team to participate- In the past I’ve done launches where I’ve simply told my team they could invite people to the webpage or to the live conference calls without putting in the creative work to make their lives simple.  Now there might be people on your team who are advanced enough to create their own marketing campaigns, email copy, webpages, etc…

…however most of the people on your team are new and looking for your leadership.  So when you create the launch for them and do the creative work for them, they’ll be able to participate and you’ll create momentum in your team.  People who are not yet on your team and got invited to the launch process will also be able to see this and know that when they join you, they’ll be able to hop right on board and start launching along with you. 

This will get more people to join not only your personal team, but also your less experienced team member’s teams!

Keep it organized- Anytime someone new comes into the launch you and your entire team should know exactly what to do with them.  The first few times we did massive team launches we were unorganized and because of that we spent a lot of time getting information to new people.  (HUGE WASTE OF TIME)

Create a page just like this with a detailed video and instructions to show your team what to do, as well as having a place to send anyone who decides to join the launch along with you. 

Taking the time to create this will certainly give you more time to spend recruiting more people into your team rather than constantly having to worry about getting the information to everyone who comes on board.

Today I’m going to share with you why I love blogging, and why I believe you should absolutely incorporate a self-hosted wordpress blog into your marketing methods, because…

Blogging has been a main marketing method of mine since I first learned about it over 2.5 years ago. 

Blogging will actually fit into your business no matter what marketing methods you’re already using, because you can very easily just use a blog to teach people what you’re doing in other areas of your business.  This is a great way to implement attraction marketing.  I believe if you’re going to blog you should absolutely have your own self-hosted wordpress blog verses just posting your content on any sites that allow you to post content like wordpress.com, blogger.com, tumblr.com, and many other sites that allow you to blog on their main site. 

Of course there are a lot of reasons why you should have a self-hosted wordpress blog, and today I’m going to share just 3 reasons with you.

1. A self-hosted wordpress blog can’t get shut down- You can blog on sites like blogger.com or wordpress.com.  You can post content on sites like Facebook, betternetworker.com, and many more sites that are available for you to post content for free.  The only problem with all of these sites is that you have no control over your content staying posted.  Any one of them can decide to shut you down at any point in time if they choose. 

I believe they are great sites to syndicate your content from your main blog to, however I would never rely solely upon any of them in order to have control over my content.

2. A self-hosted wordpress blog will BUILD YOUR OWN BRAND- building your brand should be your main goal when working online so that people from all over will seek you out to work with you and spend money with you.  When you have a blog of your own, it is like your central hub where people can find your content, coaching, training, and your story all in one place.  A self-hosted wordpress blog will make it easy for people to find you again and again and to stay in touch with you. 

3. A self-hosted wordpress blog allows more customization- You can customize everything as far as the look (a header with your face is a great way to brand you), you can add multiple pages to cover different aspects of your business, and you can customize the lead generation capabilities.  I love the video-popup webform that shows up for every new visitor that comes.  In fact it just went live yesterday and already I’m getting more leads. 

So as you can see it just makes sense for you to have your own self-hosted wordpress blog even if you’re already generating traffic and leads from any other blogging or content distribution platforms on the internet.

I just got off of a private webinar with Todd Falcone’s A-team, and am absolutely pumped for 2012, and that got me thinking back to 3 years ago today…

What I”m about to share with you is not the watered down version… it’s the cold hard truth about what I went through my first 5 months online because you absolutely deserve to hear about the struggles as well as the success so you don’t get let down by hype!

January 16^th of 2009 is when I officially paid money to join a business opportunity because I finally worked up the courage to take a step into the unknown world of running my own network marketing business.  What I’m about to share with you is some of my struggles from my first 5 months online so you don’t have to go through the same thing I went through, because…

…after 5 months of marketing and having spent about $15,000 on my credit cards, I made a whopping $35 commission!

Does this sound at all familiar to you?  It doesn’t have to.

The truth is that no matter what book you read or what system you get involved in you’re still going to have a learning curve to go through if you’ve never been involved in network marketing or internet marketing before, because most-likely this industry is entirely different from everything else you’ve ever done.

So the exact same day I joined my network marketing opportunity, which was actually a marketing system for a bigger direct sales company, I decided to build my own attraction marketing funnel at the same time.

You see I’d read a book by Ann Sieg called “The Renegade Network Marketer” which is a great book very much like Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring book, and after reading it I realized that attraction marketing was going to be the way to go, because…

…8 years earlier I had been involved in an MLM called Excel for about 60 days and I struggled with the whole family approach and offline marketing approach, and honestly no one in my warm market trusted my business sense since I was completely broke and living in my parent’s basement at the time.

So I decided that I was going to become a marketing mentor just like it said in the book and I was going to brand myself by creating my own attraction marketing funnel from scratch.

What happened next is SCARY, and I’m glad it happened because now I can help you steer clear of the same problems I went through. 

You see I knew nothing about the internet… up til this point I played games on Candystand and checked my hotmail account once a week or so.  I didn’t even know what “a Facebook” was, nor did I know that I’d go on to achieve over $10k/month with Facebook as a big part of my marketing plan, but…

… I was going to follow this step-by-step ebook to teach me how to setup an attraction marketing funnel of my own from scratch!

I was going to learn:

     Multiple different marketing strategies to generate quality leads

     How to build websites of my own

     How to put together training courses for my leads and team

      How to create a free offer to give away in exchange for lead info

      And a whole lot more that I didn’t yet know…

So I got to work… 

…I started maxing out credit cards and applying for new ones just to keep the money flowing.

I spent $500 on a training course, $400 on a website that I had to build myself, press releases, Thousands on Google PPC, $1200 on advertising (which only generated me 3 leads, that’s $400 a lead…OUCH!!!), and I kept spending money until I had to get another credit card.

You should actually ask me about the $1200 postcard mailing when you talk to me, because that was the last $1200 I had to spend, and it was absolutely devastating.

I built a pretty crappy website that really didn’t teach anyone anything about attraction marketing and didn’t even have a place for people to opt-in as a lead.  I was over all completely confused after 5 months, and I was broke.

So what changed?

I realized I shouldn’t be building my own attraction marketing funnel when I didn’t even know how to generate leads of my own yet.  I decided that I had to find a mentor that could teach me how to effectively be an attraction marketer from a beginner’s standpoint.

So I sought out Brian Fanale, because he was a top earner in my company, and asked him what he was doing to become so successful online.

He pointed me towards MyLeadSystemPro, and I watched the videos on his website and loved the ideas.  MLSP was the solution I was looking for.  It was the fully brand-able attraction marketing system that I was trying to build myself, only it was a whole lot better because it worked, it had the great training I was attempting to put together, and it even had the opt-in forms on the websites so I could generate leads…

But my head got in the way!

I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $1 to take the 2-week test-drive when I wasn’t sure how I would be able to pay for the $50/month subscription when the 2 weeks was up.

So I waited, and I waited, and I kept hearing about MLSP everywhere I went.

Then I finally had a dramatic realization that I was thinking about the $50/month subscription all wrong.

I realized that rather than thinking about the fee in 2 weeks I should have simply committed to taking whatever actions necessary to make over $50 in that 2 week period so the monthly fee wasn’t a concern of mine anymore.

CRAZY CONCEPT… but it worked.  I signed my first person up within a week… and had my first $500+ day selling affiliate products within 2 weeks.

Was it easy? NO!

BUT, it was a heck of a lot easier than attempting to build my own funnel and master the online world by myself.

Immediately after joining MLSP for $1 I got to work.  It took me over 8 hours to setup the system, which doesn’t take more than 2 hours with their simplified setup now.

Then I immediately started following the marketing plan they put together even though I didn’t understand what I was doing.  I was taking action and getting my capture page links out and talking to friends on Facebook, and doing the things that were required to get leads and get a decision from those leads as to whether they were interested in joining MLSP or not.

So why did I tell you all of this about my struggles, my doubts and fears, and why it took me so long to make such an easy decision about MLSP?

Because I know that you probably have had some similar situations or feelings in your first 6 months online, and I didn’t want to hype it up and tell you that I came online, found MLSP and without much work I made a ton of money.

In fact, 6 months after being in MLSP I almost had to shut my business down because of my own mental hang-ups on my success.  My head was still getting in the way.  It wasn’t until 18 months into MLSP that I was able to quit my job, which you can watch me doing right here!

So the truth of the matter is that success is a process not a destination.  You will have to continually work at it so you don’t lose it.

And MLSP is truly the 1 guiding light that I’ve had by my side for a majority of the past 3 years of my business.

One24 Review: The Company

With all the buzz going around lately concerning one24 I decided it was time for an inside look.  Let me preface this one24 review with fact that I am not a one24 representative or distributor of any kind.   This is a third party One24 review.  That being said, lets take a look at the company.  Founded in August 2010, One24 has taken off like a rocket.  With industry veteran Mark Seyforth at the helm since its inception, One24 has risen through the ranks.   The premise of the company is that it is not an mlm.  We’ll get more into that later.

One24 Review: The Products

One24 has two products to offer.  The first is a nutritional supplement called NatraBurst.  It is not vitamin supplement but rather a food concentrate.  That is to say all of the vitamins and minerals are natural.  There is a host of other extracts and probiotics in the formula and I am not a scientist but it seems to be a healthy product.  The other offering is NatraBoost which is a highly concentrated liquid supplement that is meant to boost energy while promoting overall health.

One24 Review: The Business Opportunity

This is where One24 claims they are different from any other company you’ve ever heard of.  For starter, you cannot just join one24.  You must first be placed on a waiting list.  Essentially your goal is to take one person off of your waiting list each month.  In addition to the commissions you get from your recruits, you receive a residual income from everyone who joined the company after you.  It is a complex system and I would study it further, as with any company, before I signed up.  It sounds like a very lucrative plan, and lots of people are having some great success.

One24 Review: Final Thoughts

As with any mlm (I know they are saying it’s not an mlm) you not only have to do your homework but also prepare yourself for success any way possible.  There is no doubt that the leadership is solid in One24, the products are great and the compensation plan could be very lucrative.  Contrary to what I’ve heard some say however, you will still have to sell your business and build a network.  One24 will not build itself.  I guarantee it.  You need to develop a solid marketing plan to take full advantage of this opportunity….

Although some of your friends and family will see the potential and be ready to rock and roll with you and your team in One24.  Once you run through your friends and family, you’re going to want to learn how to market yourself and have a good lead generation strategy.  This same exact scenario will happen with your team members.  They too are going to run out of warm market contacts pretty quickly, and they’ll be looking to you for ways to generate more leads for their business…

…thus your ability to succeed as a One24 independent representative will rely solely upon your ability to generate 10-20 fresh leads a day and 1-2 new reps per week and to be able to teach your team systematically how to do the same thing for their business.
