Super Top-Secret Tip To Jazz Up Your E-mails: How To Add Videos To Your E-mail

by jordan on June 5, 2010

A few months back I went off on a tangent one day when I NEEDED TO KNOW How to Add Videos to My HTML e-mails in Aweber.  I simply started by adding the HTML code from the video embed code of Youtube to my HTML e-mail in Aweber and tried sending myself the message, and it didn’t work.

Thus began my Search.  I searched for over 8 hours and read so many different blogs and articles.  I searched the entire back-area of Aweber to find out how to add videos.  The fact was that I thought there was a way to make videos play right in the e-mail, and after hours of searching I found out that wasn’t possible at all.

That’s when I discovered the next best thing.  Making it appear as though you have a video in your e-mail, and then linking to a video on a different website.  Watch my video below to learn exactly how you can do this.

Great tips Jordan, I especially like how you use WordPress to host your pictures to be used elsewhere. Talk about jazzing up your emails :)

You're welcome Sherman… Thanks for passing it along!

Peter,

that was honestly my lazy way of doing it, because I don't know how to use an FTP client or whatever it's called. You know. the thing that uploads stuff to your hosting package for you. Yeah, I have no clue.

That’s why I liked the tip.

Whenever I start to explain to someone they can use ftp or cPanel to upload some pics I see that glassy eyed look on their face :)

Jordan,

I do this from time to time… but have been doing it a lot lately with the MLM Launch Formula promotion because of all the videos you can take screen caps of! ;)

Thanks for all the value bro,

I remember how confused I was the first time I uploaded a picture to my cpanel… I was still confused on how to call it up… With this way, there's no mistakes.

Thanks Jordan, this is very helpful. I tried and tried to figure this same thing out, even contacted Aweber, searched online, etc., then just kind of gave up. Thanks for being kind enough to share this valuable info.

This is just the kind of training I need – how to do very basic functions – because I'm new to all of this, even setting up a Blog. What I don't see is how to subscribe to this Blog so that I can get more lessons. Most Blogs I visit make doing so extremely easy, even when their content is nowhere near this informative and useful to the beginner. But perhaps I'm missing something because I'm new. All I see are ways to “Share” via social sites, not how to subscribe to this Blog to get more of these wonderful how-to lessons. Perhaps you could E-mail me and explain how? Thanks!

I feel you on that one Tristram… I can’t tell you how many times i tried to put video in, and how many different forms of video I uploaded trying to get it to work with HTML or Java…

Time for the headache to stop.
