Why Are You Trying To Make People See The opportunity In Network Marketing??

by jordan on July 18, 2010

This is a  really quick post today… I’ve been listening over and over to 1 of Jeffery Combs audio cds that features his good friend Jerry Clark, and I’ve just got to share something with all of you.

I also know that I’ve been away from making blog posts lately, and sending out e-mails lately, and there’s a good reason for that.  I had my first product launch this week, which I’ve never done before, and that consumed me.  I’ve also been re-structuring my business.

I apologize for being away and not sharing anything, and I promise you when I come back, it will be in FULL EFFECT with some Super-Awesome Knowledge to share.

Back to Jerry Clark, and the brilliant insight I heard him say.  He said “Not everyone is going to see the opportunity in Network Marketing… and that’s ok, they’re not supposed to see it.” He then went on to say, “if everyone was a millionaire, who would wash my car?? Who would set up these chairs?? Who would clean my house??”  “I wouldn’t volunteer to clean your house”, Jerry said.

You’re going to come across a lot of people, and you’re going to wonder why they don’t see the brilliance in working from home in their underwear, and being able to do practically whatever they want whenever they want.  The bottom line is from an early age, we’re all programmed by our parents and our governments to get a J.O.B. and go through the hustle until we can afford to retire and get by until we make it to our graves.

Some of us have chosen a different path than that, and we’re willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.  These are the kind of people that we want to attract into our circle and our businesses.  If you’re still going after people who aren’t interested in network marketing or working from home, and you’re trying to convince them that this is the opportunity of a lifetime, YOU’RE WASTING YOUR TIME.

To find these kind of people you should be following an Attraction Marketing Blueprint

Stop trying to convince these people and let them wash your car, set up your chairs at a conference, and clean your house.  You go on and find the people who are interested in this industry, and build your business so you can afford to pay people to clean your house, wash your car, and set up your chairs at your conference.  If you’re wanting to build your business on the internet, read Magnetic Sponsoring, this book changed my outlook on network marketing online.

Great advice Jordan

In this business you have to realize that not everyone is interested and has the same entrepreneurial mindset as ourselves.

Excellent point Jordan.

Force negates. Some people don’t want the responsibility of running their own business, or the freedom which it affords. Better to target your search.

Great Post Jordan! I have to admit I use to be guilty of that, but that has changed a while back. It is a waste time trying to convince people how great of an opportunity network marketing is. I totally agree with you on this. I look forward to more of your post!

Hey Jordan,

Very true. Assuming that everybody will think it’s a brilliant idea is arrogance anyway. People are all at different points in their life journey and while they may not see it today they might tomorrow. When they aren’t ready or never will be, just move on.

Hi Jordan,
absolutely correct. Not trying to convince folks saves me tons of time and energy – that I love to invest in those that are willing to everything it takes to eventually succeed. Thanks for sharing that.
Take care

Jordan these are some great points. The biggest thing I take away is the difference between the have’s and the have not’s is mindset. As far as people doing everything the traditional way over 80% retire and by the time they leave this earth they have less than $1000.00 in the bank. That meant a lot of frugal living in the meantime. I don’t want that. Do you really work in your underwear? I would watch the skype thing if you know what I mean.

I’ve realized that even though I have this mindset, people around me can’t handle this mindset, and get offended when I talk about just doing something and not looking back. This is definitely a unique mindset to have Peter.

I think mostly the responsibility… most people would love the freedom, but they don’t want to have to go outside their comfort zone to get it.

Jordan Schultz August 28, 2010 at 3:22 AM

yeah Oliver,

It’s much more enjoyable to invest your time in the people that deserve it.

Jordan Schultz August 28, 2010 at 3:23 AM

I don’ t believe that I work in my underwear often Steve, but the Option’s definitely there. and I love that
