I’m writing this article because of something that I see too often that people do.  This will tie in with the latest chapter that I’ve read in “Think and Grow Rich” about Decision, and a few times I’ve heard this topic discussed in trainings this week.  The thing that I notice, and that has been talked about often, is that people will jump from one opportunity to the next thinking the new company will bring them success.  I want to clear this up, because it pains me to see people that think they want success wasting their time and money on every new great company out there.

Napoleon Hill states “The majority of people who fail to accumulate money sufficient for their needs, are, generally, easily influenced by the “opinions” of others.  Opinions are the cheapest commodities on earth.  If you are influenced by opinions when you reach decisions, you will not succeed in any undertaking, much less that of transmuting your desire into money.” “If you are influenced by others, you will have no desire of your own.” Too often people are influenced by their family member or friend who is so far from being successful, that their opinion should matter when it comes to their success.  Too often people let someone talk them out of achieving success because they don’t believe in themselves.  As soon as you stop worrying what other people around you think about you, then you can start to do something abnormal and achieve great success.

Mark Yarnell did a statistical analysis and found that people who stuck with one MLM company for 10 years, 95% of the time were in the top payment plan of that company.  People who jump from the “deal of the month” to the “super deal of next month” will never achieve success in MLM.  I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many people approach me every other month with a new opportunity that they’re promoting.  They also wonder why I won’t join their team every time they approach me.  It’s obvious to me that they never stick with one thing long enough to achieve success, especially when I know other people in every one of those companies that are achieving some decent results; the reason being that they’ve decided to stick with it long enough to make things happen.

The chapter that I’m currently reading in “Think and Grow Rich” is called Decision.  The main focus of this chapter is that people who take a long time to come to a decision and change their minds frequently are less likely to achieve success than people who make big decisions pretty quickly and stick with that decision for a long period of time.  When you decide to build a certain business or implement a certain technique it is absolutely imperative that you stick with it long enough to see results.  To be completely honest, I saw absolutely no results with my business for the first 7 months.  In fact, I was going over my taxes the other day and I saw the first month I made money last year was June.  I made $40 in the month of June, and I was ecstatic.  2 months after that I had a $2000 month, so my point is that you should really stick with your decisions long enough to achieve the results you want.

The last point that I want to go over is that if you’ve been with a company that a ton of other people are achieving success with, but you’re simply not getting results, maybe you’re the bad factor.  Too often people call a business a scam or something of the sort when they don’t make any money with it.  The fact might simply be that you’re not marketing your business effectively or enough.  This could be from lack of education, lack of ambition, or both.  Whatever the case may be, realize that if you’re the x factor, then you’ve got to change you.  Maybe you’re not implementing the right marketing strategies or techniques, or maybe you are and you’re just not implementing them enough.

The only way you’re going to achieve success with any business that you choose to join is by choosing a marketing technique that is proven to work and by working that technique as much as you possibly can.  There’s not a single person, out of all the mlm top earners, that didn’t put in a ton of hours to get where they are today.  They’ve all gone out of their comfort zone and worked on personal development a ton to become the successful people they’ve become.  Create your vision with whatever company you choose, set up a game plan for success, and stick to it.

I don’t want to go so far as to say that it doesn’t matter at all what business you join, because there are some out there that just plain suck… What I do want to say is that your Success will ultimately rely on your PERSEVERANCE, your FOCUS, your Willingness to do Whatever it Takes to get the job Done.  You might be feeling completely lost right now with all the different businesses you’ve joined or looked into joining, which is OK.  Do Yourself a Favor and take a step back…  Realize that you first need to learn HOW to market online before you actually begin marketing a business opportunity or else you will Certainly Fail.
