I hear that a lot from quite a few different people, and I can almost always pinpoint the reason to what I talk about in the video down below.

The thing is this whole internet marketing thing isn’t really that much different from offline marketing, it’s just usually cheaper and can be much more effective for the amount of effort you put in.  It’s still just a way to get people in front of a business opportunity presentation and onto the phone with you.  

So here’s the thing, when I hear people tell me they tried internet marketing or have been with MLSP for 6 months and haven’t generated leads or gotten anywhere, it’s usually 1 of 3 things maybe both of these occurring.  

1. They’re not following a mentor who is leading them.

2. They haven’t actually put in any time or effort to move forward.

3. They have studied and studied and studied and studied… but never implemented what they’ve been learning.

This process is simple… don’t over-complicate it.  Attraction Marketing works, and you don’t have to understand the full concepts of why it works, just know that when you start teaching people marketing strategies, they will opt-in to your websites for more information.

Last night before I lay down to bed, I decided that I was going to start exercising this morning.  I decided to begin by jogging daily to start getting in shape.  Not only will I lose some of the weight I’ve put on by sitting in front of my computer and eating a lot of fast food to save time, but I will have more energy so that I don’t need to drink as much caffeine anymore.  So I planned a jogging route out last night that was 2 miles long, and knew that after I woke up and responded to the morning e-mails I would go for my jog.  (Keep Reading to get to the Internet Marketing Success Part)

I began at a brisk walk for the first quarter mile, and then picked up to a brisk jogging pace.  I didn’t want to over-do this since I hadn’t worked out in a long time, and I wanted to make sure to finish the whole course.  While I was jogging along my planned course, I kept seeing some shortcuts I could be taking to ease the pain I was feeling in my legs and in my lungs, but I continued on.  I knew that if I took a shortcut I would never get to where I wanted to be health wise.  Sure, I felt a lot of pain in my legs after only 1 mile, but I continued on anyway.

How Does This Tie Into Internet Marketing??

Imagine that all of these shortcuts were simply distractions to your business…I.E.  Television, Going Out, Parties, Sleeping, and Basically anything that can take away from your quality business building time.    I knew while I was running this morning, that I wouldn’t accomplish my goals physically if I gave up and took a shortcut.  Now tie that into your business and imagine if you decided to watch 1 hour of TV every day instead of say reading some personal development books and connecting with leads.  What if You decided to go out with friends 2-3 nights a week instead of getting some extra marketing done so that you were generating leads for your business?

What would Happen to Your Business??

I don’t want to make you think that the only thing in your life should be your business, because that couldn’t be further from the truth, but rather for you to Realize What’s IMPORTANT and What’s NOT.  Could you get by on only watching 30 minutes of TV per day or better yet per week?  Could you get by on going out with friends only 1 night per week?  Do You think your internet marketing business might be better if you decided to read books for personal development or marketing strategies rather than watch TV??

The Big Truth is that if you have the right mentor to show you how to market, how to develop yourself, how to connect with leads, and how to build your business that’s great, but you still need to make some commitment to learning what needs to be learned and accomplishing what needs to be accomplished.  You can’t let the distractions of life happen if you truly want to achieve MASSIVE SUCCESS with your internet marketing business.  Set your goals and stay focused on those goals.  Your big goals may change as you achieve the smaller ones faster, and that’s ok.  You might not reach all of your goals on time, and that’s ok too, as long as you’re working as hard as you possibly can to achieve those goals.  The Bottom Line is there are NO SHORTCUTS to SUCCESS.

We have all seen the ads for Pay per Click Marketing. The promise is great and it sounds like a sound plan but is this really the truth or is this just another way to make sure that you fill someone else’s pockets? So let’s assume you want to grow your team of online prospects and you need to provide them with internet marketing training on how to grow their own team. PPC marketing may require you to invest some money and this may discourage some of your team members. So it would be to your benefit to be able to train them in other more affordable avenues of internet marketing like SEO.  With SEO, focus is on the writing of your website content around a particular keyword or phrase so that when people conduct a search using this keyword or phrase, your site is found.

For people with no budget (unlike PPC marketing where you are bound to burn hundreds if not thousands of dollars), SEO is a good way of getting started online the cheap way. Plus you won’t have to spend too much on internet marketing training either.

a)      Article writing: Writing of compelling articles that can be submitted to article directories thereby increasing your online visibility

b)      Blogging: Start your own blog where you can freely market your products and services by writing compelling, relevant and quality content on them. This is also a great way to interact with your customers on a regular basis and develop some trust.

c)      Link building: Link to other sites that shares similar content and which also have relevant content as well. No point linking to sites selling computers when you’re selling cosmetics.

d)      List building: Develop a responsive opt in email list. This will help you grow a database of niche customers that you can keep selling to.

e)      Website promotion through writing and publishing of frequent press releases on your products and services.

f)       Affiliate Marketing: Allow others to sell your products on your behalf. This will encourage your clients to help you with some of the work of improving your online visibility.

The above list of SEO internet marketing techniques is by no means exhaustive and can be combined with PPC marketing for best results.
